Hi, Tammy this is my pre-view before the mix. Personally, I would do pink, yellow, orange, and green. The blue is pretty but it's too close to black and a bit too dark compared to the other 3 colors. Can't wait to see the outcome.
It’s pretty and every bar is unique. When watching I was thinking oh, no the butter is too runny. I can only get good swirls with medium to thick butter. That varies according to the recipe though. Love the soap Tammy!
thanks Clivia! Yep I'm with you on the thicker the batter the better the swirls. I really thought this was traced quite nicely, I think I was just pouring them so thin and making so many passes that it came out the way it did. I'm glad I tried something different but I'm sure I will go back to fewer passes with thicker pours. Hope you have a wonderful week!
Finally! I remember you talking about doing this. I guess I'm glad you liked Jade. I didn't care for it. It reminded me too much of laundry detergent, which isn't necessarily bad, I just don't want my soap to smell like that 😂. Soap looks great! I know what you mean about the swirl. Lately, my swirls tend to be long along the length of the bar rather than swirled in the middle. Annoying.
oh , you may be right about the laundry detergent...now I'm curious to see how customers react in a couple of weeks at my first show... LOL swirls can be annoying!😆
Awesome! It seems neons are making a resurgence lately. I have been trying to think of neon colors to use in my next soap loaf. Nice black, I think. Cheers 👍 🤗
ok you have me intrigued - why do you put them in aluminum bottles? Is it just for keeping the light out?? Do you reuse the bottles with different fragrance oils when they are empty or do you have to throw them out... so many questions in my head! 😂😂😂
Thanks Heather!! - BTW - I made a bath bomb that you totally inspired (vacuum form molding) I am going to link your channel on that video!!! - it will be a few weeks before it is up though 💗
thanks Denise! I never knew that neons we not skin safe - you had me second guessing myself LOL I did check and yes they are skin safe for soap - but most are not safe for lips/bath bombs.
