Thanks Robert! I have wondered about this process, but had no clue where to start... Here we are, RU-vid suggestions for the win (or is it mind reading😳) either way, thanks so much for sharing.

super cool, ive done some etching of circuit boards 25+ years ago in high school electronics class where we made our own adjustable dc power supplies from scratch using designs printed on clear overhead projector sheets. then uv blasting the image before rinsing in etching fluid to remove all the area not printed black. so im guessing the process is similar.

If you were going to sleeve that object, would you fire polish out the frost first? And if so, what flame would you use? Thank you for all your videos and the time you put into them !

I mean I’m assuming not, because it would oxidize the Bluemoon again. But then it makes me wonder if there would be a fuzz, trapped where it has been frosted.

@@brahmdeschaux6236 Not for this object. It will fire polish completely when sleeved.

So it was surface reduction on black?

North Star blue moon when worked leaves a layer of blue-gray-silver reduction on the surface, the dark color is underneath it 6:33
