Thanks a lot for this tutorial. I have learnt a lot from you Brian. I have a question: This is the way that I would migrate any updates or changes on my Model Driven Apps from a Developer environment to a Productive environment? I need to manage an app for a client while he captures data on field. What would happen with the data captured by the client and stored in the CDS if I import a solution that intends to update something (I dont know, add a new field to an entity and the form for example) Thanks!

Thanks. What About connection references if they are different from environements (as you cannot change a managed solution) Do you have to upload as Unmanaged, change connections references, and then export as managed every time you make a change ?

HI Brian... While you did a great job providing an overview of solutions, you didn't actually show how to use the solution packager as advertised in the title, which is a fairly advanced topic. You may want to revise label this as 'Solution exporter' as these are very different things.

I have an PowerApp that has two Automate flows that runs with a SharePoint doucment library and lists as data sources. Could these be included in a solution and then deployed to other SharePoint sites within the same tenant and the same PowerApps environment?

Thanks for sharing this! I was experimenting and found lots of challenges to upgrade existing solutions. Still not matured enough to be used as ALM solution. Good start however. One video on upgrade please.

Hi I am trying to export my solution so I can Import it as a copy but when I hit publish I get the following error. "Publishing all customizations failed: SecLib::CheckPrivelege failed, User:xxxx, PrivilegeName: prvWriteEntity, PrivilegeId: xxxxxxxx, Required Depth: Basic, BusinessUnitId: xxxx, MetaDataCache: Privileges Count: 3937, User Privileges Count: 906" Is this a complicated of saying I don't have the required permission to export this solution?

Nice video! i have a query regarding managed solution. Suppose i make a managed solution and create a package to deploy on app source for few days trial period. If someone tries that canvas application and edit the code or can copy the code and modify it. Then whats the use of this kind of stuff?? because as i think managed solution should not be editable neither App nor Entity. Any Suggestion on this?? @pragmatic works

I agree. Right now, the managed solution optionis more about locking down the entities and not the applications, which breaks a lot of the ALM processes.

You cannot wrap a Power BI item into solutions at this point. Always an opportunity to change later though.

What if a SharePoint list was used as a datasource? Will it be included in the solution package?

It will not unfortunately. External source tables are not included other than dataverse.

Hi How does it work when your App has connections to SharePoint lists? I have a Power App which has multiple screens and flows that are tied to various SP lists. How can such solution be packaged and deployed?

While you can't package the sharepoint list into the solution, you can package the reference to it and variables that point to where the prod/dev list is. To do that look inside your canvas app settings and scroll to the bottom. You'll see where it creates two variables for you to the sharepoint list.

Hi Brian, thanks for the video. I have a question. I have 200+users in my powerapp and i want to move these shared users along with the powerapp to another environment. Is it possible to move these user to another env?

There is a Power Platform Admin connector that might be able to do this but I haven't tried that before. If these users are in an AD group, it might be easier to do in a few clicks instead. .

@@PragmaticWorks thanks Brian for mentioning about AD groups. Is there any way so that i can extract the user's email which are directly added so that I can add them into AD easily. I've tried finding about it on internet but no luck. Thank you reading this❤️
