In this vieo tutorial on The BodyScoop, designer Wayne Blacklock demonstrates how one average person can lift and move a body singel handedly. In addition there is a demonstration on how to make the scoop fit larger bodies.
In general, the body would be cleaned and embalmed before this device would be used. Many years ago I worked for a first-call service and spent a lot of time in preparation rooms. This invention would reduce the likelihood of back injuries and other occupational hazards when moving human remains, especially the heavier ones. This will be a life-saver for embalmers/funeral directors. Congratulations to the designer-this may really change and improve conditions in the prep room .
I wonder if this will lower the fee for "casketing" since the embalmer or his beadles will not have to do as much heavy lifting getting one's pesty carcass into one's terminal container ?
