Anger is a problem common to people of all generations. Some of my takeaways: 1) To take pause before it blazes out, 2) Veg food intake recommended, 3) Minimizing desires of material interest and maximizing for those of higher value. As far as I am concerned, I prefer to think over the result of getting angry; mostly I find no use.

In one of lectures Swamiji points out that if the anger or greed is there, it's mother desire must also be there. Desire is the cause of attachment of our mind to the object. Attachment is a cause of repeated contemplation of happiness from the object. This simple truth of life saved me many times from anger. Whenever anger comes, I go back to the root - attachment. I realised it mostly has to do with body and ego. As a divine soul only lack of devotion should make one angry.

SWAMIJI has given a very scientific example and practically guided us to refrain from anger. It is a destructive tool in our personality.We may have 100 good qualities. Much needed wisdom for today's world. Nowadays most of us get angry very quickly. We feel entitled that we should always get certain things or respect etc., because we did a lot of things to deserver them or we are in a higher position in career. However, life will keep testing us to see if we are humble or full of pride. We react in anger and say things we dont actually mean. And regret later. But the person on the other side hears only your words. They cant hear your mind. Also the tone we speak is very important. To criticize loudly vs passing on the constructive criticism to the person is different. We need to be careful not to react. Take your time, tell the person that you need some time and will respond later. Or choose your words carefully before you respond. The idea is to remain conscious always of our anger and reactive nature and not let our guard down. We act like its just a normal day and go by and then suddenly an inconvenience hits us and we react in anger. That is why we need to be conscious of what we speak. You can always convey the message you wanted to convey, but the purpose should be that the person have to receive it in the right mindset and may be able to act upon it. If we shout , only our voice and words remain in their mind forever. The purpose gets lost. This applies to everyone we react to, including our kids. Just because they are small it does not mean we can demean them. We expect them to get our message so it has to be conveyed so they understand it and not just shout and force always

Anger management is a really an important topic, thank you SwamiJi for these techniques. I liked the technique where we try to delay our response and make a calculated move so that we don’t say anything that would make us regret it in the future. We should also take care of what we keep listening to around us , the food we eat the people we are with.

The most common, yet most important problem that is solved by Swamiji so insightfully, so lucidly and with so much of ease that everyone of us can practise to get out of the clutches of anger, the deadliest defect of our personality. 1) Instead of reacting to the anger-provoking stimulus immediately, just delay the response for a minute or less to make time for the left brain to kick in which is logical and analytical to think about the ultimate outcome of the provocation. 2) Take sattwik and noble diets not only through the mouth, but through all our senses. 3) From a Vedic perspective, anger develops when our desires are not fulfilled. So the first thing to get rid of anger is to accept the truth that not all our desire will be fulfilled. But that does not mean that we should not desire anything to find happiness. We must desire happiness that is unlimited, eternal and divine that is God Himself - desire to love God, serve God and attain God.🙏🙏🙏

Pujniya Swamiji🙏🙏, Your teachings are outstanding, above and beyond I humbly thank you for your amazing wisdom. You have such a wealth of knowledge. You are knowledgeable in every field. Oh my God! The pearls you provide with us on a daily basis are truly amazing, and you do it in such a simple manner. The book "Questions you always wanted to ask" is the one you recently released. It's incredible. I love the idea of Anger Management Stratege they are; 1. we should delay the response to the moment of Fury. 2. Be very careful about the diet we take from all of our five senses. 3. We must train ourselves that all desires can't be fulfilled. 4. We should seek happiness in beneficial things. It can be possible if we change our desires towards divinity that is God alone.

Radhey Radhey! Great explanation on what anger does to us and easy to follow 3 step techniques to control anger. Wait for at least a minute before we respond, in that time our left brain which is logical gets time to assess and determines our response. 2nd step is to eat a satvik diet and not engage our senses in anything that feeds to anger, and the last which is difficult yet possible to follow is to dovetail our desires for divinity. Following Swami ji’s advice I follow all the three steps but the last one is what I need to practice the most as Maya knows it’s way for sure. I pray to my guru and Lord to remove all obstacles in my spiritual path!! 🙏🙏

i am also getting anger when somebody is saying something which is irritating me but my anger is not stay for a long time it vanishes after sometime but after watching this video it is helpful for me to prevent anger i always remember the word 'hell' whenever i respond in anger and trying to not respond immediately thankyou guru ji😇😇😇😇

I believe that I am the soul, not the body. I aim to keep this knowledge in mind whenever anger arises. I want to practice this perspective in every aspect of my life to free myself from the disease of anger. Very powerful tips by Swamiji on how to control anger. Desire is the main cause of anger. When we are not able to fulfil our desires, we get angry. Anger ruins our physical, mental, social and intellectual well being. So without controlling the desire when we turn our desire from the material purpose to divine purpose all our anger and tensions will be finished. We will be calm and peaceful.

Anger clouds the intellect. Desires cause anger. Desires can not be eliminated, only we can dovetail desires in divine direction. Repeated contemplation of the teachings of scriptures is the best strategy to control anger.

व्यक्ति को जल्दी से कोई भी निर्णय नहीं लेना चाहिए जब भी आप गुस्सा हो या बहुत खुश् हो कोई भी निर्णय ना ले थोड़ा सा टाइम ले आपने दिमाग़ को टाइम दे उसके बाद आँख बंद करके भगवान से प्रार्थना करे की हे भगवान हमारा मार्ग दर्शन करे की हमारा लिया गया निर्णय सही हो भगवान आपको शक्ति प्रदान करगे ओर आपने निर्णय से खुश रहेंगे

Anger corrodes the heart in which it resides and causes so much health issues. Anger arises from unfulfilled desire and so we need to dovetail our desires toward the Divine and when that happens then anger subsides.
