Dear Brother, Thanks for the Kingdom-building work you are doing! All the down here in Guatemala City, I have discovered your RU-vid channel. As they have wonderfully blessed my life.Especially because Amazon can't ship to us since we have no national postal service. Yet my Amazon cart is FULL of your recommendations awaiting my next journey Stateside!
Thank you for the encouragement. I am sure that your work is much more meaningful than mine, but every little bit helps, Ipray. And I am happy you commented, because otherwise I would not have found your channel.
The St Bernard Breviary is my most treasured book. Period. And you taking the time explain the way to use it is truly appreciated. I love this book. And all that it represents. I need one more copy so I can leave the two copies for each of my two sons. They see me praying with it. I hope they come to appreciate them when the time comes. I’ve ordered some gloves so that I don’t leave any oily residue when I use it. Thank you, Brother Dale. Truly.
Likewise. I’ve been trying orthodox, Catholic, and even the Be Thou My Vision Crossway prayer books, but the ACNA Daily Office clicks for me. I’ve tried the 2019 TLE and the IVP 1662 BCP, but the St. Bernard Breviary somehow resonates with me above all else.
@@benjefferies8531 Thank you for the work to bring the Bernardillos ethos to general ACNA life (and beyond)! I am blessed (μακαριος) by it as the means by which I delight in the law of the Lord and meditate on it daily.
Temptation! Okay, Okay, you finally talked me into it! The Saint Bernard Breviary is even easier to use than my beloved AOB and especially my beloved AB. This is the last Breviary I intend to purchase! Why will I buy it? Because the examination of conscience at the end of the day is a necessary as the other daily prayers. This breviary is as easy to use as it is beautiful. Thanks so much for this video.
I never knew prayer brought this much joy. And I’m thinking once I get the hang of it I’ll be beside myself. I can’t wait to start chanting. And singing like Brother Dale. Pray for me, you all. Pray for me, Brother Dale. And good nite.
What is special about your discussion of the SB prayer book is your actual experience with it. I’m curious as to whether you incorporate bits from the Orthodox Anthologion & lectionary? I do that with the EOB & one of New Skete books. The type of the EOB is getting smaller & smaller. Alas!
O my. I haven't read a New Skete book since I last had a puppy. Good memories. Mainly I encorporate some of the orthodx hymnody, either from the anthologion or from the ACA's Orthodox Christian Prayers, into feast days celebrations. I should probably find a better home for the Anthologion and Lectionary Bible, but I'm a hoarder of books.
Good for you! I can’t resist book deals. A book dealer friend claims it staves off death. As to ecclesiastical phases I relate. Keep up your great work!
Thanks for tuning in. You wouldn't exactly be wrong in your assumption, since I am the beneficiary of the great riches of Anglican liturgies and thought, and I have served in several Anglican parishes, but my ordination is in the Old Catholics.
