I'm using up forgotten art supplies by doing two art projects in this video. I found stuff in my art studio, basement, and garage to make these pieces. My hope is that you enjoy this, and that it encourages you to look around your own home, use what you have, be frugal, and create something anyway!

I just moved and finally have my own art studio! As I've been unboxing, I've realized how many art supplies I've collected over the years that are just waiting for me to use. Yes! I’m here for this! I would love for this to be a series. Not everyone can afford all the latest artist quality art supplies. But most of us have a collection of things that are usable. We just need the inspiration. ❤😊

This is so funny because I quite literally just filled a full bin of art supplies to give to my Aunt because I have so many supplies that I do love, that don’t make me excited, or I just can’t remember why I wanted them to begin with. Even though I’m not using them, I’m so happy that someone else can.

@@MiraByler Yeah she basically said that she’ll take anything acrylic painting related. Most of it is canvases because as it turns out, I hate painting on canvas.

My siblings and I have been doing 30 day art challenges. We done flowers n now we are doing locations and environmentz. Doing this has helped me pull out all the mediums i have. For landscapes, i have pulled out all my pens. It's good to finally have a reason to use these again. I feel stuck sometimes on my creative journey just because i have no inspiration. But those challenges are amazing. Highly recommend if you all are not sure what to make

This has been really nice. I think a lot of RU-vidrs have fallen into the trap of making review videos or only making videos when they purchase something. It's refreshing to see things being used that weren't purpose bought for a vid.

I love taking the long way home, which mean driving around the lake. I just did this an hour ago. I rolled down the windows, turned on WBCL and praised the Lord with my hand held high. My grandpa would always remind me to "slow down". Chrysanthemum is my vote for the name of your little skunk ❤ is that too long? Probably... I am a born and raised Midwestern, of course I have a "junk drawer" ...and a dresser full of craft supplies... and totes full of fabric 😅 Sorry if this posted twice 🤷‍♀️ my phone has been acting up today.

When I first saw the blue and the way the skunk started as- to me I thought you were going have the skunk in a bathing suit in swimming pool. But I love how the painting turned out! So cute. When asked for a suggestion for the name of that piece, I thought of the Disney movie Bambi….and the skunk character in the the movie was named Flowers. So, I think Bambi’s Flowers or something along those lines.

It is handy to have a notebook where you write in a product you bought, the price, if the price is a sale then also write in regular cost, the date and where you put it. Art supplies do expire! This way you know what you have, where it is, and how old it is. :)

I literally started to do this over the weekend! I had so many half finished things on paper so I got my fun shaped hole punches and turned them into various flowers and butterflies that I'm now sticking to a canvas. It feels really good to use them up and get them out of the way! I think the skunk might be my new favourite of your animals collection. I love it! The garden sign is fabulous, so many old reused items and the combo of you and your mom makes it extra special!

Skunk in the flowers: Petite Posy This is helpful and encouraging - using what I have. There is so much to choose from that I have been tired of but the break, and a recent visit to a few galleries on a visit interstate, plus your video, has renewed an interest in actually just playing with the supplies and seeing what appears.

I'd love to see a frugal series. I do a lot of fiberart. Since i decided to Take part in a no buy challange i use a lot of scrapyarn for my garments. It feels so good to make beautiful pieces out of it.

A skunk in a flower field reminds me of 'Flower' from Bambi. I also love strawberries and roses so this is one of my favorite paintings in this series so far. QotD: I am organized i can't stand not knowing where something is due to ADHD. I have all of my things organized including art supplies. My brain can't stand clutter. If something is moved somewhere I get upset easily. I have art supplies that i use on a regular basis, projects I'm working on, and then supplies i plan to use all organized. So no junk drawers

Yay skunk!!!! ❤ So random… apparently if you paint rocks like strawberries and spread them out in your garden it tricks birds into thinking your berries aren’t edible.

😮 I'm so glad you made this video! I am the same. I actually get it from my boyfriend and his parents. The no how to put together anything and usually don't have to go to the store for the supplies. One thing I've been doing lately is saving cardboard boxes of all kinds. I love to use my acrylic paint markers (Artxx brand thinks to you Mira😁) on the card board. I usually cut it to the size I like and so on. Thank you so much for sharing this wonderful video with us and have a great day!

I try to go through my art supplies every few months for a tidy up & cull. I have a terrible habit of buying stuff without knowing what I actually want to do with it. I usually end up donating it to goodwill in hopes that someone arty with limited funds might get a little joy in finding something for a bargain price.

I hope this is helpful. When I am painting small pieces I take a pieces of tape and make loops sticking the ends together. Then I will put the small pieces onto the tape. I usually will put it on my finger to paint it. You are able to get the whole top and sides more easily than trying to hold them. 😊🍓
