I don't get this trick naming surfaces work. My surfaces are imported with suffix w_ but I use OBJ files. Is there any difference?

do all of the workplanes in sketchup have the exact same colour? is this neccessary? because when i import my project my workplanes are all in the same element

Why do one adjust the output area, and make it smaller? Does it calculate anyway with buildings or other things outside the smaller output area that you have chosen? And the calculations go faster?
