I had a large woodscrew go into my tyre, used the mobility kit, it was useless, i suppose it might be ok if you just got a nail in your tyre. After that i got myself a space saver spare.
First thing I did when I bought my 2019 Kia Rio was order a full size spare to go in the back. Don`t trust mobility kits and hate the look of those space saver spares. But thanks for the vid. Always handy to know about these things .
Need to go back to a spare. This kit won't work with a bent rim if a curb is hit or a side wall tear. Useless cheap kit that will probably stop working after its first use.
I carry a plug kit and a more durable 12 v compressor in all of my cars (plus a spare tire), off road vehicles and my motorcycle. Ive never been stranded. Most the time with a nail or screw puncture all I needed was the compressor to fill the tire and drive to a tire shop or home.
Reminds me of my nieces and nephew - I would be sure to think "don't mix up the baby with the repair kit .. baby right hand, compressor left". My wondering - that looks like much better "sealer" than the old days where it was like tar being sprayed inside. The shop must have a clean up process when they get "deflator kit" cars coming in. I bet that stuff is water soluble - for instance you need a really clean rim and tire to get that seal optimized eh.
So was dad mad when he saw the final video or did you confess before that? 😂😂 Either way, nice job and thanks for the video's. BTW thanks for the video on how to change the level 1 charger to 12 Volts and speed up the charge! 😊
I thought there was two stages on the instructions. Fill the tyre partially with all the sealant then drive the vehicle slowly for a short distance to spread the sealant and then fill the tyre to correct pressure with the sealant bottle removed.
Oh Charlotte that was SO naughty! Your poor dad was baby sitting; no wonder he didn't have time to shoot the video 😂 I guess he's watched this now and you got busted? Very useful video btw - many thanks
The best possible use of this one time ultra emergency hope it works due to a simple puncture is to empty the contents and repurpose the nice bag to hold a tire inflator pump. Any tire issues best to call for a tow. Ask a tire repair tech what these kits do. Mine said not to use them. The TPMS might be compromised and tire not repairable due to all of the sealant.
I bought my kia niro 2023 just a week ago, and i had the ambient light working, and just after 2 days that feature disappeared from the vehicle settings. how i can get it back please help.
So here I am with a flat tyre having to go online because Hyundai have not provided any instructions with the "tire mobility kit" which is not intuitive. Luckily I am at home and can access the Internet but not all areas where I live have Internet access so I would be knackered.
@@BrantfordKia What fuel savings ? The tire weighs the same. Supposedly you do not have to add pressure due to Temperature changes as Nitrogen has no moisture to expand or shrink like air. Waste of money.
No shame here! ☺️ Our gas vehicles are largely equipped with a spare tire kit, but when it comes to electric vehicles, there often isn’t enough space for a full size spare because of the battery size. You could certainly fit on in the trunk if less cargo space is required.
Many gas vehicles don't come with a spare anymore. I drove a Honda for years and never had an issue. Kept a plug kit in the trunk, but never needed it.
Thats all very well but after a working career involving lifting heavy weights I can no longer manouver a wheel on or off a car due to "tennis elbow" This sealing system will be a godsend if and when I need it.😮😮
Well it's a good thing he didn't actually use the goo that goes inside the tire she has no idea what that stuff does long term to the inside of the rim that stuff will destroy the inside of the rim if it isn't clean out when u actually fix the tire so please have who ever fixes your tire to clean every bit of this stuff off your rim
Literally avoided to buy a hyundai cause of that instead of a spare tire and that horrible fob key! Hyundai want to save money by giving us crap stuff without lowering the cost of the car? lol good luck with that
Not gonna lie, the Key fob design, needs an update! I personally, prefer a spare tire and hope that Hyundai listens to their customers and brings it back - especially when their Kia counterparts often include a spare.
