Will the new one for computer psyops look like a UPC code? Just kidding. Congratulations, that truly is an admirable achievement. Major respect and gratitude for your service. 🇺🇸
A Marine sergeant major accused of searching a subordinates' home without permission has been quietly relieved just months before his scheduled retirement, according to a Marine Corps spokesman. “Sgt. Maj. [Christian] Bull was relieved due to the loss of confidence in his ability to lead,” 😐
I was told in Vietnam that a marine worth his salt ain't got a chance in hell getting a good conduct metal we done so much shit a different time and a different place
I only have six for my 21 years in the Army. Technically, maybe only five... or zero. If I never received an initial award, do subsequent awards count? 🤔 We use claps and knots to denote multiple awards, by the way, so I should have a silver clasp with two loops. I PCS'ed just before hitting three years of service, so orders for my first award fell through the cracks (probably generated by my previous unit and never forwarded). I received orders for awards two through six, then retired just after my 21st year. I've checked iPERMS (the Army's online records system) and six months after retirement, another Commendation Medal was added to my records, as was my retirement Meritorious Service Medal. No 7th award of the Good Conduct Medal, though. 😔
I got my Good Cookie pinned on in 1987 a week after I received NJP for having a cooler of beer in my unsecured wall locker, along with my blood-soaked .357 Magnum. Long story.
