USMEX COIN SHOW, CACG Slabbing Foreign Coins?! And Pickups From the Show!

The USMEX Coin show was held by the US-Mexican Numismatic Association in Scottsdale, Arizona! Only members of the association were allowed to attend. The show was full of Foreign Coins, Silver and Gold coins, Ancient Coins, and even some U.S. Coins as well. Lots of people in attendance, including APMEX, Heritage Auctions, Stacks Bowers, Sedwick auction house, ANS, and more! An absolutely amazing time, and I can't wait for the next one. Watch until the end to see the new coins I was able to purchase at the show!

Very cool, this is a show I've wanted to attend for years but could never justify the travel. Did you notice any chopmarked pieces in the dealer inventory that you can recall?

It’s my favorite show I’ve been to so I hope you can make it sometime. There were definitely tons of chopmarked coins but I can’t recall specific ones unfortunately

I am newish to coins. I like the 1 Onza Libertads. Where can I go to find current pricing for slabbed examples? It’s hard to buy when I have no cue where to go to find pricing, so I know what a fair price is or is not. Thanks! ❤️

You could probably check out e-bay, and filter to sold items to see what they are currently selling for. I think ebay takes about 10% + shipping, so in person you may be able to negotiate about 10% less than what it is going for on ebay. That’s how I would check out how much they’re going for!

Yes this is the only show they do. If you plan on going next year, at least you have a lot of time to save up some cash to spend! There is so many amazing coins at this show
