This dude definitely needs a reality check, at the end of the day, no matter how much you know or how much knowledge you have, you still failed a standardized test, and for you to not do it again, the first thing is to accept what happened, and try to identify your mistakes as best you can. I am not hating on him, I left the exam feeling so confident, I honestly gave it my best shot and I still failed. So now when I look back, I can clearly identify what I did wrong, despite having good knowledge, I think I just didn't do enough NBMEs, I feel NBME 20 through 31 are a must, and if you failed maybe even try doing the earlier ones. Also, I agree with you Dr. Nguyen about how it's really important to simulate exam situation when doing NBME's. I used to look up answers like him, and it def gave me a false ego boost and he needs to def practice NBME's in a way to simulate exam conditions, and maybe try doing 2 a day, and review next day to simulate the length of the exam. Also, maybe read through notes, but honestly by the end of it, its all practice, so notes are just for light reading, Qbank and NBME's should be his target. What do you think?

Thank you for your view and comment! I believe everyone, regardless of controversy, will need a reality check every now and then! I can say I’ve definitely had my fair share since starting my medical career and tutoring medical students! I definitely agree that you have to first accept what had happened and correct your mistakes and just do the best of your abilities and put in the work! As an update, this student passed his second attempt and was scoring around 75-80 percent raw score on his practice tests prior to his second attempt! Very proud of this student to overcome this obstacle in his career. He will become a very good physician in the near future! -Dr. Nguyen

I failed in October. I felt like i was ready based on my NBME and Free120 scores but bombed the real deal… Now I am so afraid of retaking it because I’m afraid of failing again.
