About atheletes heart: how can it have dilated ventricle and hypertrophic cardiomyopathy? Also its diffrnt for endurance training athletes and weight lifting atheletes. One with dilated and other with hypertrophic. Plz clear.

Hi, thank you for this question. For the Step 1 there is no need to differentiate between the different types of athletes. The important points are the following: Hypertrophic Cardiomyopathy - IV septum and LV wall are hypertrophied. Athlete’s heart - only the LV Wall is hypertrophied. Hope that helps!!
