@@RickyRicardo84 they're clearly going to get out the group with Bolivia and Panama in it but that's not the mentality you need in the knockouts where they would likely face Brazil either in the quarters or semi depending on how they finish
@@chrisa9857 That’s the most likely outcome. My fear is that we won’t get rid of GGG even if we barely make it out of the group and get trashed in the 4th game.. that’ll be on par with what they expected, which is a horrible mentality to have for this team.
@@RickyRicardo84 My dude I'm not so worried about what Haji Wright says in an interview because this guy is the 3rd string striker and has never been a major part of this group. Does he sound like a chump? Of course. Klinsmann (who was a horrible manager and con artist) got to the semifinals in 2016. They need to at least get there but in my view they have an opportunity to win this tournament and they need to act like that's the goal. The ultimate preparation is to pretend like this is the World Cup and try and win it!

Aaronson shouldn't even got a call up for this tournament and Wright shouldn't even be considered a starter. This coaching mentality only tells me that they will be happy with just four games in the next Copa America...🤷
@@Johnnybgood76 Pulisic, Balogun, Weah, with Reyna distributing is fine with me tbh - I'm not really sold on Haji as a starting winger but *maybe* a 9 - I like Sargeant starting as a 9 but he is injured.
Were fucked without Dest and personally I feel a small amount of players like Shaq Moore, Miles Robinson, Sean Johnson and Timmy Tillman shouldn't be on the national team. Guys like B.A. and Haji can still help out as a depth piece and injury replacement so I won't discount them yet.
Potentially Johnny can drop back and take over Dest's role. Haji deserves to be starting because he scored in the last world cup and had had excellent form this season.
Aaronson is incredibly versatile and brings a huge motor when he comes on later in the game. He's been on a run of late and his entire body of work says he should be here. You haven't been paying attention
Copa America is the oldest football tournament in the world, Pele, Maradona, Zico, Ronaldo, Messi, Suarez, Valderrama, Zamorano etc etc had played in the Copa, and the USSF thinks is just a "warm up" for the WC??
You’re just not a winner that’s all there is to it. Any time you have an opportunity to win a trophy you should go into the tournament with the intent to try to win even if you’re not the best team on the roster. Going with a half assed mentality only sets you up for failure. How do you expect this team to actually perform in the World Cup seriously if they don’t take a tournament against real World Cup opponents seriously.
