After a decades-long mission to preserve the historic submarine USS Albacore, the Portsmouth Submarine Memorial Association chose Cianbro to put the group’s plans into motion. The goal: to build an attractive and well-engineered haven suitable for a vessel that has changed the course of submarine technology world-wide, a place where the public could connect with the Albacore and reflect on all of America’s submariners.
The job was completed in 2016, much to the satisfaction of the submarine’s guardians and the construction team who deemed it an honor to work on the project.
