Flamu have you considered the fact that the Black is only 14k steel and the Neustrashimy is 20k steel, while both will probably be 200k coal. "The Black is cheap".

I never considered the Black OP when you consider that German hydro on their DDs is only 1.5 km less range and last way longer. And Black torps are really bad. 7 km means that a DD can run out of your radar range in matter of seconds, unless they are well within your concealment range.

VuHien2011 Only Z-52 gets the full 6km German hydro, Z-46 has the standard 5km. That 2.5km difference is really significant for crossing the concealment range of several noteworthy DDs.

@@ShawFujikawa even with 5 km range hydro, it takes no time for a Z46 to close the gap between his concealment and the distance where he can hydro you back

Should be reversed, CVs dumpster Smolensk, and Haku can kill a Smolensk from full HP in 2 drops with AP bombs.

You can't rely on teammates to do anything. I lost count how many times I've risked my Des Moines at the cap, radar'd a bunch of DDs, but nobody is shooting them except me. Everyone is shooting at the Yamato 18km away instead of the DDs 10km away from them.

He meant he only got the Kraken achievement (which he certainly considers good), but not Confederate or High Caliber or even a Devastating Strike, so in terms of impressive games, it doesn't rank that high. Not that Kraken isn't impressive to get.

@@happyblt624 had the black for a few years before the Ragnar came into the game. Was pointing out that it was fairly underwhelming for a ship that took so long to get. That being said steel is much much easier to get these days so less of an issue

I'd keep saving for one of the t10 steel ships if I were you. If you're wanting a dd, the somers fits in the current meta a lot better. Im a BB main and got Bourgogne first, currently just 351 steel short of Stalingrad.

Raytracing? Videos aren't rendered on the fly by a GPU inside an engine...They are recorded and then encoded.

You have to understand that its the combination of smoke and radar. PA DDs only have a choice of smoke OR radar, just like UK CLs. This makes these ships very hard to disengage with. Another example is German DDs with their smoke + hydro. Hydro alone will do you good but the smoke takes it to a whole new level. Hope this helps, im not too experienced either but i do play German DDs and UK CLs so i kind of have a basic understanding of this

@@cannavaras you can hide behind island and use radar if you don't have smoke. Plus Black has much slower torps. You won't gonna hit enemy dds unless they r super noobs

You are talking about Thirteenth season ? Black was, probably the best option in that season for a DD at T9

Glorfinder 1992 I don’t remember numbers of season tbh... actually it’s 15th one ? Then no probably the last with t9 before that. If I remember correctly I got my Black around Augustus or September 2019. Maybe the 13th there not sure. But yeah, for ranked it was definitely a good option 👍 Although, overall, taking count of cost in steel, despite being good for ranked, it wasn’t worthy. Should have played it only with t9 cruisers and BBs I had at that time, and continue to stockpile steel for Stalingrad or Bourgogne... I would have both since months now then.

@@onebigfatguy The camo does not come with the ship, you have to buy it with ranked tokens. They cannot strip it from the ship.

Fletcher is the cheapest T9 steel/coal ship. I really doubt the coal price will be a better deal. You got the benefit of obtaining her much earlier anyway and the conditions of sale were clear when you bought her. I don't see why you should feel entitled to a refund.

@@Catcrumbs the conditions of the same were NOT clear. The ship was sold only for the most valuable resource in the game. There was no warning or inclination that one day it might be sold for coal, an easily earnable resource.

I'd like the same. It'd be nice, but highly doubtful WG will do it.

@derek96720 Exchange 14 000 steel, receive Black (plus a slot and 3-point captain): that's exactly what was offered and exactly what those who bought with steel got. I don't believe it was ever promised that Black would never be available by any other means and indeed, she was initially made available as a guaranteed reward for ranking out 5 times. I didn't hear any of the players who obtained her that way complaining that they ought to be entitled to some kind of refund for their efforts when she went on sale for Steel. There has most certainly has been a warning that Black will be one day available in exchange for coal. That's what prompted Flamu to make this video. In any case, I find that steel is more easily obtained than coal. I play in a clan that can't be relied upon to make it out of Storm and by the end of this CB season I will very nearly have enough to buy all available steel ships. When it comes to coal, despite picking the 'More Resources' container at every opportunity, I am some distance from obtaining enough to buy all coal ships.

It’s the calm waters / calm weather mod. You can get it in aslains mod pack it’s one of the options you can choose or install it separately. Unfortunately it’s not in WG’s mod station yet but I hope it makes its way over there.

But it gives cash, and that is what WG is after.

You can fire back into smoke. Practice it. Seriously, i have spent 8 weeks training and I am now hitting 60% of the time when blind firing. Flamu has some good tutorials on it, and use the training room.

@@mwnciboo oh i do fire back. im probably around 10% hits though, and it doesnt make it any easier when you get focuse fired at AND have to dodge potential torpedo spreads. plus its much harder to blind fire with a bb then a cruiser or a dd. your rate of fire is so low that they have a chance to move. i would much rather have smoke screens exclusively a dd thing rather then half the cruisers too. soon we'll have a soviet primium bb with a smoke screen :D
