The 2019 USSSA All American Tryouts have begun! We’ll be traveling the country to find the best 8-14 year old baseball talents. Come out to one of the tryouts in your area and see how you stack up to the rest of the pack! The top 4 performers of each age group (top 2 for 8u) at each tryout are going to make the USSSA All American Team as a “Direct Select”. The remaining of the roster will be filled by the next top 13 performers in each age group per region. Each age in each region will fill an American Team and a National Team which will battle it out here in Viera FL against the other regions in your age group to find out who will be crowned USSSA All American Champions! For those of you that are interested in this tryout, all I can say is do it! My 13U son tried out and made the 13U Central National team last year and had an amazing time playing at ESPN Wide World of Sports complex in Kissimmee, Florida. He met some fantastic kids from around the country as teammates and opponents, and competed in some top level baseball. All in all an experience you’ll never forget.

My boy turned 8 a few months back. When I took him out to the Mira Loma location, I was told that he was too young. Can't wait to bring him out in 2019. Right now his pop time is 1.87, his 60 is at 8.5. he does homeschool and trains every day of the week and is currently playing on a 12U Dominicana team as their 2nd baseman. He's scheduled to go to the D.R. next summer to train for a month. He wants to play the outfield however has a hard time picking up the ball off the bat.

Reason being is that if you were from a hotbed state like California, Texas or Florida, you would know talent like ours comes a dime a dozen so we train with a different mentality of your Midwest boys. @@mbwshorts you're another one. Almost sure as shiz you're some rich boy who's never seen ghetto kids. You go to the juvenile halls or down to places like the D.R., Mexico, Valenzuela...etc and you'll see talented kids that come a dime a dozen. You'll see 14 yr olds throwing 95+ or kids 5' 10" doing a 360 dunk or boys running a 60 around 6.3-6.5. a Polynesian teenage kid who's never played ball but has an 87 mph exit velocity. I'm giving you 1st hand experiences I've witnessed. Unfortunately majority of these boys don't get the look because of where they come from. Sorry if facts offend you however facts don't care about feelings. Why do you think my boy is now boxing? Not enough poor boys with true talent get opportunities in team sports. In boxing, there's no hiding behind daddy ball or being the rich boys who's daddy's only coaching because his kids can't make the roster on any legit team. Come out to South Central Los Angeles and you'll see talent on every corner being thrown away. We're tired and upset seeing talent go to waste because of people like you holding them down.

Is the pop of the bats considered for these tryouts cuz some kids have green cf zens that add 3 mph to the ball then some bats a lower class player could afford.

5”7 very solid hitter batted 60 times in middle school and only struck out 5 times .518 ba and can throw 72 pitching and is very accurate also play center field and can throw it on the line from center to home

I went to this last year and I had the best power with my hitting with a 9/10 and the best accuracy but I was not a direct selection, though I feel I should have been but some kids had more velocity but were throwing them to other fields. I still do not agree with me not being chosen over them but I am still happy because i was still chosen to go down to Florida. (This was 11u) But I’m also happy to say that the next tryout in Michigan. I’ll be there.

How much is it to do all this? I play every position well and pitch in the mid to low seventies with a 4-seam, 2seam, slider, cutter, knuckleball and change up. I’ve also hit several balls over 425 feet and I’m only thirteen

Hey coach I'm having trouble with getting the ball more into the air, I used to be a power hitter but when this season came back up I was either a ground ball hitter but I usually beat them out or a pop fly hitter barely hitting it into the gaps. My coaches say I have a very good swing plane, I'm just not making solid contact, I'm 14 and play babe ruth baseball, 5 games into the season and I have a .625 batting average💯. I just need help on where to hit the ball to make better contact. But what I also realized is that this season I be pulling the ball, but last season I would hit the ball over the plate

Say there were only 4 players of the same age group that went to a showcase. Does this mean all 4 players automatically make the team as a direct select?

Yes but I don’t think that’s ever been the case. We usually average around 20 or so per age group if I had to guess.

You guys need to check out this 10U boy in Montgomery county PA. Dudes sitting at least in the mid 60s already. Throws 5 pitches all for strikes. He is an established 3B and 1B and what a monster hitter. 5'3 150 lb machine.

Select 30 Players are scouted at Super NIT tournaments during play. The All American Program has tryouts like mentioned in the video.

I am thinking of taking my son to the Chicago tryout. He is 12 and he plays 3rd, base but also catches and pitches. He really plays where he is needed. He has a lot of power and has a good mind for the game. He isn't the fastest kid on the field but his game speed is solid. I guess my question is what should I put for his secondary position?

how many people usually try out in 14U and what are the odds to make the team?

It varies from location to location. We cap the tryout at 300 participants, so at the most (on average) you’re looking at 50 players trying out for 14s but usually it’s far less. Off the top of my head I’d say the average is 25.
