This is a superb 53 minutes-long exposition of Raga Bilaskhani Todi by Ustad Amir Khan in an extended radio programme. The recording is not of highest quality due to poor reception at times, but it is still a great performance. The recording has been made available by Mr Surendra Baxi - a friend and admirer of Khansahib himself - from his personal collection.

This recording is from All India Radio's prestigious Sunday Morning Slot of 'Deepavali Sangeet Sammelan' in 1969 or1970. This recital's 22 minutes edited version was made available in LP(Long Playing) gramophone record.

This is most likely to be in 1969 . Diwali Radio Sangeet Sammelan = YES.The prestigious Sunday Morning, 10 am_11 am spot. I had listened this with 2 music lovers, glued to our Telerad (valve) radio.l vividly remember that it brought tears to our eyes. No words to describe.

Ustad Amir Khan exposed the cosmic nature of raga.Also he did full justice to the 8th note introduced by the great Pythagoras.Mr Surendra Baxi has done great service to posterity.
