Madhya se ati Mandra mein itna pyara utrav maine kisika nahin suna. Bade Ghulam Ali Khan Saab karte the, ekdum sur mein, par thoda harkat jaisa lagta tha. Inka lagta hai jaise the swara is falling under gravity, just like a drop of water finding its natural equilibirum sliding along a leaf, itna thehrav, itna smooth. Log taan kar lenge, sargam bhi shayad Khan saab jaisi kar lein, par ye kaise karenge?
Ustad Amir Khan saheb ji, an extraordinary performer of classical vocal. Truly a nice to listen the Divine voice. Today it raining at Pune & I am listening this God father of classical vocal. A slow rendering is beautiful.

God's voice. It's now raining. I just listen to Indian classical music. I have no idea of any grammar of music. Yet this was not hindrance to visualise clouds and sound of rain, as if I am cloud and I am pouring on mother earth's 'anchal'.

In 20th century there were many great Indian Classical Vocalists, I personally regard Ustad Amir Khan the greatest, ......D V Paluskar, Kumar Gandharva, Mallikarjun Mansurji, Faiyaz Khan, Fateh Ali Khan and so on to name some of them ! One Kissa : If Pt Onkarnathji to sing after any Muslim Artist, then, Thakurji used to clean up stage by a broom or something like that and then after used to sprinkle cow's urine on the stage, by he himself ! Once Ustad Amir Khan performed before Thakurji. He knew the the habits of Thakurji, hence, he himself clean the stage and sprinkled the cow's urine.... however, Thakurji was such a stubborn person , that, then after he , again cleaned the stage !
@@ilovemahler8348 that's exactly I thought so. Before I heard this I will always fall back to Nikhilji's Sitar as the reference of Megh. But this is elevation on a different level. Someone is accompanying him in violin and does a pretty decent work. Wonder who that is ?
