Thank you once again for this great service.I wonder when we are going to be blessed with the priceless gem of khan sahib's crown.(52 mts. marwa"piya mohe anant des').I have seen it in cassette form.It is evading the reach of every rasika for a long time.
Mr Sankaran, I am reminded of an old tamil saying " why search for ghee when you have the butter in your hands ! "" Pl open Shri Subrata Chowdhury's YT page and enter in search box "Amir Khan - Marwa" and find 3 Mawa items that he uploaded many months ago . The longest piece 64 min was sung in Calcutta in the 1950s - )vilambit " mere jag bawre" and drut "Guru bina gyan ") . Believe me, this Marwa is the last word ! No exaggeration to say Ustad Amir Khan was born to sing Marwa ! The other two Marwas : 31m piece presumably AIR features the " Piya anant des " bandish and is a superb and evocative piece too. The third one 42 min is incomplete but the 40 min long vilambit is the complete essence of Amir Khan . Vil bandish " mere jag bawre" which Khansaheb sang most often.
Dear Subrataji, you've uploaded a rendition by Khan Saheb consisting of Megh, Ramdasi Malhar and a Tarana in Jog. I can't find that anymore. could you upload it again, please?
