Also, some people in the audience are extremely unsophisticated and cheap. They are listening to a classical raag performance as if they were at a _mujra_ or something. Please don't make it _bazaaru_ just to be in the good books of the narcissistic performer!

Extremely disappointing attitude compared to Khansaheb Ustad Salamat Ali Khan (I'm not even comparing the singing): 1. Continually talking and unnecessarily breaking the flow of the raag. Ustad Salamat Ali never used to do that. He would introduce the raag and the accompanists and just go into a meditative trance. That's how it touches the listener. 2. Giving micro-instructions to the tabla player and others. If you don't trust someone to perform independently, don't perform with them. Ustad Salamat Ali Khan was a much, much bigger artist and played with many junior accompanists but never gave such directions on stage. 3. By "soeft" (soft), he just means nobody should take any space and just let him dictate. Zohaib, the Saarangi player, looks visibly scared and is not contributing as much as he can. Again, Ustad Salamat Ali Khan let others around him take their own space and rise up to his level. Sad to say Shafqat Ali Khan is nowhere even close to his great father's stature, in attitude and mindset!

اوّل تو اتنی باتیں کرنے کی ضرورت کیا ہے؟ استاد سلامت علی خاں ہمیشہ شروع میں راگ اور سنگتیوں کا تعارف کروا کر بس ایک استغراق میں چلے جایا کرتے تھے۔ دوسرا سٹیج پر بیٹھ کر ساتھیوں کو ہدایتیں دینا انکی بھی بےتوقیری ہے اور آداب کے بھی خلاف۔ علاوہ ازیں انسان کا اپنا دھیان سُر سے ہٹتا ہے۔ یہ کوئی چتُرائی کا ہنر نہیں ہے، دِل کی مکمل لو لگی ہو تب گانے میں اثر پیدا ہوتا ہے، جو کہ نہیں ہوا اس چٹر پٹر کی وجہ سے۔ اپنے عظیم والد صاحب کی کچھ پرانی ویڈیوز دیکھیں اور آداب سیکھیں۔

also Shafqat's voice is not ideal for classical singing....and his sons shouldn't sing at all, should pay attention to their education instead because they are already exposed for their "Nalayiki". Shafqat doesn't know because he's a bad singer himself. Ustad salamat ali khan yeh gana sun kar chittar phairtey sab ko.....koi sharam he nahi....
