I have watched this hundreds of times, I just can't get enough of it, it is magnificent, it is brilliant! It just does things to the soul no other music can.
It's a road trip to heaven. Each chord and vibrations are touching our pure soul. No match to Zakhir Saab and Khan Saab, Their talent is just magnetic.
Watch Zakir Solo at 12:23 and then 23:00 and another 32:34 and another at 54:56 and then again 1:10:47 JUST STUPENDOUS!!! This was one of the most incredible jugalbandi's I have seen!
Thanks for identifying the time stamps for Zakir's solos. Ive heard Ustad Allah Rakha and Ustad Zakir Hussain play together with Pt Ravi Shankar. Wah! Lajawab!!!
A wonderful performance in Raga Jhinjhoti ! So great . God bless you Ustad Shujaat Houssain Khan and Ustad Zakirhosain Hussain Khan . استاد شجاعت حسین خان و استاد ذاکر حسین خان زنده باد .
Wah Ustad wah.Maza agaya.Divine music. They are like......Amazing I think Ganesh ji and saraswati mata have sit any where in the public to see the concert.🙏🙏🙏
I do not know anything about the sophistication of the Indian ragas and I do not understand a word of these sensitive lyrics but the music hits me deep in my heart and the romantic part (from 57:45) fills my eyes with tears. Thanks a lot for the artists and thanks a lot for sharing. Liebe Grüsse aus Deutschland! (Germany)
@@shubhambatham49 Thank you for your feed back! Virtuoso performed music is able to touch us deeply across the continents, no matter what different culture we belong to. Maybe that reminds us - worldwide we are alle the same - and maybe that means a little bit hope in a broken, torn world of today! Best wishes! ;-)
@@PrashantNambiar Thank you Prashant, I've indeed a high respect in your cultural heritage with its spiritual character! Hopefully once I'll find much time to feel, to hear, to smell, taste and see all this by a visit to your country personally!
Between the two of them my taste and listening pleasure of music has elevated to a level never before in my life. Mesmerizing flow, captivating melody, i wish i knew and could understand the underlying intricacies of classical music of the subcontinent but then, even as a layman, am virtually taken over. Thanks to whoever shared it.
Never I thought of hearing in this way through my little Tablet..this entwinement of Tabla ..played by our most desired --- Honourable Ustad Zakir Hussain Tabla-Vadak-Bhaisahabji .and Sitar-Vadak Honourable -- Ustad Shujaat H.Khan Bhaisahabji. It goes on recurring within my inner soul....like a flowing river,constantly...with its uncounted dancing ripples....on and on and on. How to give any comment on such a mesmerized divine creation... I know not. It's beyond my reach....! Both of them do not play but simply worship ....closing their eyes and their hands and fingers start playing so very swiftly....like uncounted dancing ripples go on singing ... with My Ganga River in VARANASI..where I live... as I feel. S U B L I M A T I O N. Namaste with High Regards.. !
@@najeebkhan7254ji..Respected Najeeb Khanji... this very precious entwined creation of sitar with tabla... needs no word even to give any comment...as I feel. It's simply beyond my reach. Gratitude..!
you can measure a country greatness and maturity by its music unfortunately evil forces want India to stay backward by creating discord among the different ideologies and by spreading hatred and fear of the other so they (the evil forces) can keep collecting donations from the poor souls and have a lavish lazy and easy life
Juntarrlos ha todos ellos junto al maestro RAVI Shankar y su hija Aniußska, mas los exponentes todos de esta Gran cultura Musical Indu. Desde Iquique CHILE Sporting LP, rama F- M CERRO DRAGON.
May God bless Ustad Vilayat khan Sahib and Thanks to Ustad Shujaat Khan and Ustad Zakir Hussain khan for playing from their hearts. I remember Khan sahib was impressed and encouraged Ustad Zakir Sahab to produce the sound of S,R,G, M, P on Tabla.
Absolutely Divine. The maestro played understanding ea h other so beautifully - more in tune with the 'pehele aap' tehzeeb. Absolutely no one-up-manship. The sitar and tabla played like a river rippling by, so joyful, so fresh, so melodious-felt like the tabla sang while the sitar kept the beats🤗. Mesmerizing! And what a melodious voice - put me in a trance. We need more such jugalbandis with these great Masters. Dil Khush Hua!
@@johnhenrycrossleysanz2117 Yes. And the singing chorus of wolves. There is much music and song in the natural world. Life. In the beginning was the word (sound) music - hearing is one of our first senses (not just humans) and music can repair even the loss and isolation of Alzheimer's patients. That said, nothing detracts from the beauty of this. They make this look effortless. Being a sitar student I know it is NOT effortless. This is mastery and genius.
Ustadaji you are simply great . I liked the composition of कोई हमदम ना रहा । tried my best to find the original Bengali Song . But couldn't able to find it . Your Sitar touches to heart .
Wonderful rendition of raga jijhoti by Ustadji, very very rare work as much I have heard this raga from other musicians. ...As if Ustad Zakir Hussain is himself in listening mode and giving him a perfect accompaniment and not invading aura or serenity of raga effect created by soulful sitar.
About thirty years ago, I had been to a concert of a Bangladeshi musical family ; the father played sitar, the son the sarod and the daughter was on tanpura. It was the last night of a whole concert's week. At that time, I had listen many kind of music - classical, jazz, rock pop, folk - and also made as a guitarist and a singer, but I had heard just few times Indian music. The only name that I knew was Ravi Shankar. I was absorbed by that trio and only after several minutes, I noticed a man, sit aside the three players, on the left. During the first 45', he just brushed the skin of his percussions, while in the same time, the atmosphere in the theater grew more and more "hot", leaded by the virtuoso sarod's player. Then, a little beat echoed and spread in the whole theater. And after, it was one of the most beautiful and marvelous experience - musical and human - of my life ! And I was the happiest human being in the world !!! That man was Zakir Hussain. I'm sorry, I do not remember the name of the wonderful family :)
@@taf44tt8io No doubt, Zakir sb. is one of the sharpest presenters of Tabla (as Indian music has so many hues from core subject of meditative spirituality to entertainment of listeners) and he has levelled purcusion tabla a few steps up to bring it at par with main stream melody musicians. He is extremely skillful and in this piece as well, he has played and accompanied immensely mature. Just in case you can admire complex drumming, here is one piece for u but listen with earphone, these are ordinary recordings by listeners ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-XkU2myTFzCw.html
Absolutely soul soaking performance by the legends. Close your eyes and listen to this mesmerising harmony of of sitar and tabla .....takes you to different heights...

Sitar is okay but how people can enjoy singing and why he is imposing singing like Raees Khanwho destroyed his career shujaat Khan is very famous still
Your music is glorious. Thank you for making it, and for bringing me to a place of both joy and concentration. I am listening while I work on paintings. Can you tell the lyrics of the second piece, or even what it is about? I find myself dancing when I hear it.. Peace, from France.
No words to express my gratitude for those who allow me to do exactly what I want to do in life! Create some thing from nothing! This is my LOGO! Listen to this Devine music, thinking and relaxing ALL AT THE SAME TIME! Just keep on allowing me to enjoy these heavenly moments!
I think zakir sahib was getting disturbed by moisture in the air, heating of the lights, he kept on tuning and tuning both his tablas and still they where getting out of tune.
