Colombia is a dirty team. Saw that in the WC. Even before that, in a closed-door warmup game against Ireland in Australia before the WC, Ireland stopped the game 20 minutes in, because Colombia was playing to hurt and did hurt Irish players. One player was sent to the hospital. Now I understand the difference between Physical and Dirty. Colombia plays dirty. I'm not talking about 1 or 2 players. The whole team plays like that. Which isn't needed since Colombia has some talented players

@@jaivas16 The ratio is about 9:1 dirty plays by Colombia: late hits, body checks, concealed elbows... Good for the US that there were two physical players Rodman and Horan who could dish it out. In comparison Mexico and Brazil are cleaner teams. But you can never tell, the Mexico vs Paraguay game looks quite chippy.
Wasn't surprised this occurred. Colombia was losing by multiple goals and the USWNT has been under pressure/scrutiny starting from their World Cup performance to their recent loss against Mexico. Hopefully the tension during this match was temporary.
that ref was just terrible, you could see that she was waiting for the US players to react. I saw it 3xs. The Colombians with cheap elbows, and kicks. Thank God our players were ultra-professional, but this was deliberate by that costa rican referee.

Absolutely true. Rodman deserved 2 yellow and the last action penalty on Morgan is a straight red card for the colombian player. Let's say that a bunch of players deserved yellow cards.
This ref was in way over her head. I’m sorry. Game was totally allowed to get out of control early on with that initial scuffle in the box. I’m all for letting players play, I play soccer myself and it sucks when every little thing is given a whistle. But that game was totally out of control. It was embarrassing to watch. At this level of sport you have to think about sponsorships/advertisers etc. and all the business end of it with little kids idolizing these players and seeing that this is allowed to go down at this level just encourages kids to act this way towards the ref and other players. Totally ridiculous
Good to see the ladies be aggressive, especially Morgan; lately (WWC) she has looked like she's ready to retire from the national squad. The game against Mexico they looked lethargic. Keep up the intensity, carry it forward from the Gold Cup to the Olympics!

as impartial fan watching the game, the official was horrible , the Colombia team is a good team but half of the time they where acting as they really hurt and committing faults all over the field , in southamerica this is the way they play , but if they only try to play clean its would be one of the beast teams to watch, USA did the job well deserve.

I'm Colombian and I feel ashamed by this behavior. In Football you talk with your talent, not with your anger/fists. The US team is far superior and as colombian male fans, we can't criticize our team because the players play the misoginy card. But this was a disgrace 🙄
The Columbia Women should of got carded too but Its kinda hard to tell if there all real fouls because everyone flops in soccer the second they lose the ball
