Exactly what I was about to say, Usyk is just on another level and Joshua just can’t cope with his style. His shots are coming from all angles and it’s easier for Usyk to land those shots because he has a bigger target in front of him.
Joshua's main problem is his chin. He can give shots but can't take them. And I don't think that's his fault. However, his muscles aren't helping him. Wlad once joked that he was a cross-fit champ. I might be wrong, but I think he should get rid of his muscles, work on improving his cardio to the max so he can move better, and throw his hands more without getting fatigued. There are several nutritionists out there who can help him. Having said that, this is why I think Fury would be a harder nut for Usyk to crack. Fury can take shots, get knocked down, and still win.
I agree, but Usyk throws an unbelievable high volume of punches. Usyk gets those points. I noticed when AJ connected he stopped Usyk in his tracks. To beat Usyk a puncher would have to throw and connect with combinations to disrupt Usyk's momentum. The stamina of Usyk is remarkable.
Usyk volume was just too much. Styles make fight. Hinsight is a great thing Joshua should have learned and put his weight on him much more...but to honest Usyk is a master boxer
@@seemymobot4987 Everybody has a key to victory until you fight better than yourself There is no key to victory when you fight a better man, this is how life works, the only way a weaker men can win a better man is when the better man get weaker.
Joshua is a class operator, but those last couple of rounds from Usyk are on a whole new level!! Wish it was those two fight for undisputed, would be massive!!
It had to be this way. You think bumsquad or tyson "my legs are gone" fury would ever give him a chance if he didn't have all the belts. Props to AJ for daring to be great, he's the 2nd best of this era in my book.
Joshua's 'problem' was that I feel he felt Usyk did not have the power to KO him, and so he was prepared to take far more many shots than he would against a bigger, heavier opponents in order to come forward to get his own shots off and land on Usyk. The trouble with that was unless he stopped Usyk from hearing the final bell, he (Usyk) was always going to win on points due to the number of punches Joshua was willing to take.
@@user-so1yi2tm2rHe didn’t take damage or do damage for 24 rounds of fighting. How anyone can be heralding these two fights is absolutely beyond my understanding of all reality. Usyk bounced around popping in nothing jabs and pot shot body punches. AJ was walking around acting like he was trying to swat a fly out of thin air. Why not march the smaller man down, use your size and athleticism, and put it on him? It was 24 rounds of absolutely nothing going on, how in the world are people legitimately trying to sell this thing as if it was the most awesome thing they’ve ever seen. This is why mma is making such great strives, boxing fans have lost the plot. Those fights were shite mate, you’re not lesser of a boxing person if you simply admit it.
Honestly what did fury even do? He beat Klitschko and then never fought him again by waiting out to lose all the titles.. Apart from Wilder who's really on his resume? He complains about others fighting bums, and he's only fighting bums
@@alexyo2440Fury is a beast who only fights the best .Joshua was so scared and was running away from Wilder. It was Fury who travelled to US and fought him. Joshua fought Ruiz and Usyk because they are smaller than him but got schooled 😁 Now that Wilder is going through a bad patch he wants to fight Wilder 😁
@@mohandasdixit9315 I like how you state that "fury is a beast who only fights the best" and doesn't give an example of those "best" that he's fought. he's known for being overhyped, beating wilder (who is known for being one of the sloppiest fighter and basic fighter who lost to a no name on his return back to boxing), getting whooped by a ufc fighter (ngannou) and uppercutting himself. pls tell me I'm wrong
Two Olympic Gold Medalists as Amateurs. Both dominated their original weight classes in the Pros as Champs. Usyk Cruiser and Joshua Heavy. Now go at it for the heavyweight titles! This is a high level match up
Two Olympic Champions. Boxing technique is simply amazing. Respect to both. And hello to all the “pros” like Fury who didn't see any punches in this fight.
Usyk won hands down, we all saw it and I'm 100% certain AJ felt it. So why did AJ have a massive hissy fit, storm out of the ring then return and then throw Usyk's belts out of the ring for ??? Sorry to the AJ fan's out there but that's poor sportsmanship.
AJ was exhausted, just been in a fight and been hit in the head a few times, and you expect him to be speaking like a politician? 😂 If I'm honest the people that complain about what AJ did, have the same traits a woman usually has. More concerned about how it was said, than what was actually said. AJ was actually complementing Usyk. If you can see how exhausted AJ was in those last two rounds, combined with him being upset about losing. I was surprised what he said even made sense. Those were AJs belts being thrown out the ring. Usyk will get his own version of the belts, Usyk holding the belts is just for show... do you think those are the same belts being passed around for 100 years? 😅 Usyk won hands. I haven't met anyone that disputes that. The only thing I would disagree with is anyone saying it wasn't a close fight. After 9 rounds, AJ was edging the fight, and lost the fight because he gassed out from the 19th round onwards.
People underestimate Usyk’s chin that shot that AJ hit him with he was actually walking into and he just bounced and kept on coming! He said in an interview somewhere that he saw stars or it sent him to ‘space’ but he has a great poker face and his experience allows him to deal with that and stay calm and recover. He’s so calm under pressure and really disciplined and trusting of his corner. Truly hope he becomes Undisputed at Heavy he’s a great inspirational champ and forgave AJ his post fight hissy fit too. Lots of humility.
I like AJ but his hissy fit didn't sit well with me. I don't want to say what image it conjured in my mind but it made me think of something uncool. That said, I can only imagine the sense of defeat fighters feel. It sucks enough to be "beaten" in any sport. but to be beaten literally, and lose, is very defeating for a man. More so if you poured everything training for it, and considering the loneliness of individual sports
Undisputed champion the world can be proud of! Congratulations to Alexandre the great You beat the big mouth at his own game and he will be haunted with your words for the rest of his life. “Don’t be afraid I will not leave you alone.” Usyk🏆🎉🍾
Not really, if Fury comes really well, he should be able to handle Usyk. Aj could have too if he fought and not try to box like a fool. Derek chisora showed how to fight Usyk, yes he lost and he lost many rounds but many of those rounds were close rounds. Is just foolish being a heavyweight that tall, big, reach and strong and not use that an try to touch touch with the smaller, weaker, not heavy handed, skilled boxer.
@@joshforeman1723if fury tries his best and only comes forward he will get knocked out. AJ and dubious tried that already and they are both far stronger than fury and still have their legs. Greedy belly has nothing going for him except weight and reach. Usyk played possum with chisora and he still hadn't become a full fledged heavyweight. Trust me unless fury can somehow mix it up between dancing around and blitzing he's losing this one. But I don't think he can, his legs are shot.
@@user-so1yi2tm2r "Trust me bro" is not valid here. 1. Fury has a good chin, if Deontay and Francis coudn't knock him out soft handed Usyk is going to ko him? Not possible, only way is Fury get gassed out and or get hit Continuously a lot. Anything is possible in heavyweight but it's highly highly unlikely. 2. They are acting like Usyk is some kind of perfect fighter and he has a bunch of flaws, his size, lack of power, glass body, etc. 3. Chisora pulled out a good fight from the approach of how to fight him. He didn't play possum with him. He just won but it's obvious that he doesnt have the strenght, size and power of the mayority of HWs. Nothing so spectacular about Usyk is like a bigger version of Lomachenko and even Lomachenko was more skilled and we saw what happened. Just that Chisora is not elite elite and AJ fought like a fool, he played his game so he lost and in the 2nd fight he did practically thisame thing so he lost again. But the few times AJ lands on him he felt it a lot this also show that if he is handled properly he will fold and he hit AJ a lot alot but he didnt knock him even down. Fury has the strenght, height, and weight to his advantage also he has good IQ. If Fury comes well he beat Usyk definetly , even a guy like Andy Ruiz could beat Usyk, seriously but We don't know what is left in Fury so we will have to see
@@russm4391but he beat Josh twice already, if by dec. . Past his prime Tyson - the OG not the Fury one - whitewashes both, no? Moreover, didn't Bellew give Usyk his hardest or at least most compelling fight TO DIS DAY ? ! ?

No man. I'm from Ukraine and I'm Usyk fan. But it was very difficult fight. I was very worried. Much respect to Joshua. But he lost by split decision to the new undisputed heavyweight champion of the world!
Ben Davison trained Joshua against Usyk will be an amazing trilogy fight. AJ wasn’t using his height, reach and superior power advantages like he did in the Otto Wallin fight but then again Usyk is a boxing scientist so he might have put doubt in AJ’s own abilities. The mental game is a big part of the fight.
Right? For example, the right hand Joshua hit him with in this clip. He tanked that shot, and Joshua is probably top 3 punchers at heavyweight, sledgehammers. @@Blaze42069-z
Usyk moves around too much for aj. I think that's what took the big guys stamina away and weakened his ability in offence and defence. What a technician in Usyk. The best heavy weight by far
Uysk your a unique talent 🔥 I said you would beat Joshua both times..... Even had the mustache on in the pub for Joshua 2 😂 Looking forward to lumping on the Fury fight! Your going to take Fury to school
Usyjks movement and his punch combinations are excellent. He also has great defence. Very tight. Complete fighter. May not have the KO power of some but with his skill/technique he makes up for it.
Fury is full of holes, and Usyk will exploit it to the fullest - next, Fury will have to learn how to box from scratch, or be declassified which he deserves completely, it is boxing in the end of the day you have to fight mandatory matches, not the ones Fury's team prefered. Fury lost even to Ngannou who isn't pro boxer really, his skills are MMA oriented - still showed to Fury his place.
@@warreng5257 Ehh, I don't think that was the case. AJ was winning up until that point, it was the after AJ gassed when Usyk started landing outstanding stats like 100 punches in a round or some crazy number like that😂. It was 50/50 in the sense that AJ was only when both fighters gave their all, it wasn't enough to end the fight, like a tug of war between equally strong people. AJ was so close to knocking him out in the 8 and 9th round, then Usyk was outboxing him in the last 3 rounds. AJ's specialty is his power, and Usyk's is his boxing ability.
@@warreng5257 What I didn't agree wuth was that it was 50/50 up until the 10th round. Obviously I agree with what you said after about AJ gassing haha.
@shay_3859 Ah yes AJ was winning up until that point, but I say 50/50, because it was close and could go either way. If the fight ended at 9 rounds, AJ probably would have won on a split decision, not unanimous decision.
True it’s easy to say walk thro him but he doesn’t play that way you try it and he’s moved out of the way his footwork is impeccable but he’s also a tough man as well. He doesn’t just throw power punches he punches with less power at times just to distract and keep you off balance then when he’s teed you up he’ll hit you with power. He’s a very skill full slick operator and really nice funny guy.
facts, we got casual fans here that didn’t even see the whole fight and since AJ is or was better known. As soon as he brushes Usyk once or taps him, the crowd goes wild despite Usyk doing that all night long lol that’s why he won
@@warreng5257 I agree that AJ lost the fight from the 10th round onwards, because he was still very much in the fight until then, but I do not necessarily agree that he gassed though. I just think Usyk knew it was close this time and so just upped his own work rate in the latter rounds.
@@warreng5257he didn't gas out, he was just hurt coz he entered that round full of energy and confidence after a dominant 9th round, it's just that Usyk decided to throw the kitchen sink at him in the 10th to stop his momentum and ended up hurting him. And Joshua always looks weird when he gets hurt, he tends to back up and start laying on the ropes which people often mistake it with tiredness.
@meks1478 You guys just need to watch the fight again. AJ was clearly gassed out by round 10, he tried to take Usyk out in round 9, it didn't happen and he was tired. If you watch boxing, then you'll know there is a clear difference between tired and hurt 😅. And it was especially clear in this fight that I'm starting to sense a bias if you're unable to see that. Watch the fight again and come back.
Usyk outclassed the best version of AJ. That’s how world class he is! The fact he’s now beaten Tyson Fury and gave him he’s first defeat shows how insane the level he is at!
Not only does Usyk have exceptionally excellent skills and stamina, he’s also incredibly tough and durable! I think he helped to make Joshua a better fighter. The best get better fighting the best.
For AJ people only see the loss. It was a great close fight. There was no shame in this loss. And the ruiz fight he won pretty much ever round in the rematch. His best is yet to come
Ikr. I never get why people shit on AJ for losing to usyk. The man literally wiped out his whole division, mopped the floor with the top contender and then successfully transitioned his skilleset to heavyweight. I swear people act like AJ got koed by canelo or a guy half his size. Usyk is about the same size and weight than Ali. And Ali would have been a nightmare to this era too.
Сначала русонацисты залезли в его дом в Киеве, наммародерили, а потом был ответ Усика всем уzzким окупантам. Ну а после этого началось вытье адичалых на болотах
Anyone who steps into the ring and trades leather has plenty of heart, and anyone who is willing to go in against a master like Usyk has the heart of a lion.
After rewatching this fight, I give it to Joshua quite comfortably. He landed the most effective punches in the first half, and then also dominated the 8th and 9th round. Usyk winning the last 3 rounds or upping his performance is what swayed the judges I believe. He was getting battered pretty badly.
@ArthurH11 I think you're probably the one that's bias. The facts "scorecords' show AJ was winning the fight up until the 9th. From the 10th round onwards, AJ was gassed out, and was so tired he could barely keep his arms up, and was falling allover the place. At this point, it had nothing to do with Usyk being a better boxer to score points, it was just AJ being tired, making AJ an easier target. Not to discredit Usyk, as he won fairly, not dirty shots, drugs etc. And you can argue he made AJ work hard and that's why he was tired, which is possible. But it's clear that you have a bias view, to disagree with facts.
@@warreng5257AJ always looks like he's gassed out when he's instead hurt. There's not a single fight where AJ looks like that without being hurt first. When AJ doesn't get badly hurt or clipped he finishes 12 rds quite easily everytime.
