The Paunsaugunt is known as one of the best mule deer units in the west. It took Josh's dad 24 years to draw this tag. With an unbelievable amount of luck, Josh Harris also drew the same tag as his dad, but in the random draw with only 13 points. Their whole family came down and joined in on a hunt that they had both dreamed about for years.

For me personally, hunting has always been far more about the experience than the kill or size of the animal! Can't get any better than hunting with your dad and three brothers. Life long memories for the five of you...PRICELESS!!!!!

It’s bitter sweet when we take a deer that isn’t what we thought it was. We’ve been there, most hunters have! Two great bucks and a really entertaining film about family and the hunt! Congrats!

Bucks always look bigger in the dark 😂. Headlights looked pretty bright for legal shooting hours

Ha I’m surprised there’s not more comments bout that. I was thinking the same thing. Looks incredibly dark for being legal light. Probably would’ve got a better look at the deer with better light but hey, if it isn’t legal, and it’s on the web for all to see, Utah DNR can address that but I’m sure they dotted their I’s and crossed the T’s before putting it out for the world to see

Doesn’t get better than this. Hunting with family and friends in a beautiful landscape. Doesn’t matter the size of the animal in the end.

I have watched a ton of hunting videos. This might be the best/ most fun video to date. I hunted Utah 1987 and to this day is where I saw and missed the biggest buck I’ve ever seen.

Man, as a self-taught, adult onset hunter going on 8 seasons with only a coyote on my kill list, I would have had a heck of a time passing up any of those bucks. Loved seeing the family have so much fun together.

Pretty sweet hunt and even sweeter that you drew random to hunt with your Dad. Can’t beat that man. Congratulations to everyone on their great bucks 🦌 I drew Utah general deer 🦌 muzzleloader this year for my first ever western big game hunt. I’m pretty stoked about it. That Kuiu gear set would definitely help me out on my first ever western big game hunt 😃🦌

I've got a buddy that has shot the wrong buck before. Shot a 175 buck, the he meant to shoot went 217 - some other guys got him. I've shot the wrong buck before - they switched around on me and I got them mixed up. It was a bit disappointing. Both of your bucks are real nice bucks. I probably would have shot the big 3. I think big 3's are awesome. Thanks for sharing your hunt!

I blame the low light. Laugh Out Loud same thing happen to one of my buddy. In the bino, he said it was a monster buck but after buck down, walking up to a crabby 4x4. 😅 happens to the best of us.
