Pierce The Veil sat down with UTG TV at the Detroit stop of this year's Van's Warped Tour to perform their latest single, "Caraphernelia." The group's new album, "Selfish Machines," is in stores now.
Dude if you really listen to him here and compare it to his voice now, it's really amazing how he's improved. Not that he was bad before, but he's so much more developed now. It's like he's found himself since this video. Amazing.
2021 and he still looks just like this but with so much better voice control and less straining which is healthier for his voice I first fell in love with Pierce The Veil because of Caraphernelia and it will always be one of my favorite PTV songs. Love this acoustic version too
If I was the interviewer, I'd be jaw dropping. Even though I've heard the song a million times on the record or live, I'd be like woah. Vic is singing in front of me holy shit
I respect artists and musicians especially bands who make great music, releasing it, and sharing it to all of us despite the challenge of singing it live. I mean it's not smthng to be ashamed of when the live perfs are very imperfect when compared to the studio version or the official audios. I'm beyond proud of these bands cause they're really showing us that they're authentic and true to themselves.
It's how he sings. I have a low voice as a chick in regular speaking. My singing is much higher. I can hear the key right and it just makes more sense especially very whole breath lyrics. Love this conversation 💕. I hope something good happens to you today.
great cd,get a copy of it, great live, n great guy. i got the chance to help the band and got a pick from him, signed my poster n took a pic wit him. great guy, thanked me n my friend for helping him. a special band, wish them for more success in the future. PTV for the win
He also messes up at 4:15 goes to the B on the ninth fret instead of Em on the 7th to start the chorus. Bet no one caught that either but it still sounded great so....
so freaking good! omg i want to see them live so bad! fasho next band i have to see live!!! so obsessed with their new album selfish machines! if you dont have it you have to get it! every single song on that album is good!!!!!!! no joke
OMG. Why did I not know them before. This date in Detroit (where I live) was legit a week after I turned 10. I was already into this music but just not ptv. UGHH WHY WAS I SO YOUNG?!???!?!?
You obviously don't understand what people mean when they say this. It's very rare that you see Hispanic, mainly Mexican musicians or entertainers embracing their heritage because of society's outlook on them. The fact that Vic, and the rest of the guys have no shame in it and sport it around like a medal, helps other Mexicans feel like they can be proud of where they come from. It boosts their own confidence in their heritage.
So the whole time i was watching this with an acoustic guitar in my hand, in awe of his pure awesomeness, when the end came and he put the pick in his mouth, my pick was also in my mouth. Just thought i'd let you all know (y). LOL.
Cara's such a bitch for doing this to Vic. But on the other hand i have the feeling i need to thank her, otherwise we wouldn't be able to hear this amazing song :D
I'm pretty sure the acoustic version is almost always different than the original, especially in this genre of music. He didn't play it wrong. He played it the way it works.
