Saw the RA tour in 77 at the Glasgow Apollo. They where on for about 3 hours with a small 20min break. During the break the ushers came out selling ice cream & nuts. (the venue was also a cinema). I remember when Todd smashed the glass guitar, all the people near the stage rushed to get souvenirs, only to find it was made of ice. 😂😂😂. It was a fantastic gig.
I caught the same gig in ‘77 too. I distinctly remember Todd climbing and jumping off the pyramid, but not sure there was an ice guitar that night. I have a couple things going against the memory, however. It was 45 freaking years ago and I was quite stoned at the show, and have been since, on occasion.
I swear I wore this album out back in college. This and a Wizzard A True Star. I used to roll my speakers into my roommates room and play this song to get him out of bed in the morning. What a way to wake up!
I don't suppose you have any live footage of Todd performing Is it my name do you? There are a few version I have found online and would love to see some more of that song! I know you have the AWATS concert up but wondered if there was any more?
@ thank you! I think he has only ever played it live on that tour, shame in my opinion because it is a real rocker! Hopefully he'll play it on the Individualist a True Star tour!
