Few months back I was in the Himalayas of Uttarakhand (North India) living in the villages of Saryu Valley and hiking up the hills in places where roads haven't reached. The places are untouched, pristine and have immense natural beauty. I was there with Village Ways, a responsible tourism company, which works with the local community to facilitate tourism in these offbeat areas while providing alternate employment opportunities to the villagers. In this episode we trek some offbeat routes and camp at a site which is not even on Google Maps, right in view of the high Himalayan mountains.
This trip was in September 2019.
