Uttarkashi tunnel rescue: IAF’s Chinook with 41 rescued workers reaches AIIMS Rishikesh for check-up

IAF's transport aircraft Chinook carrying 41 workers took off from Chinyalisaur Hospital on Nov 29. The workers have been shifted from Chinyalisaur Hospital to AIIMS Rishikesh for further treatment. Carrying 41 rescued workers, IAF's transport aircraft Chinook reached AIIMS Rishikesh. Workers will be kept under the supervision of expert doctors for a final checkup at AIIMS. 41 stranded workers were rescued from the Silkyara tunnel in Uttarkashi on November 28. After safe evacuation, workers were shifted to the Community Health Centre in Chinyalisaur for primary treatment. Workers were trapped inside Uttarakhand's Silkyara tunnel in Uttarkashi since November 12.
