What might have caused that drop in temperature? Climate change? 🤔

I live in South America, Uruguay, it is technically a temperate zone like the UK, but generally temps are much higher. Summers are regularly 30°, nonetheless we have had the longest and coldest winter this year, nothing extreme but certainly noticeable, that I have experienced in my 20 years here. This was following on from a cold winter the previous year that did not end until the end of november and we were still wearing scarves in December (the summer here). It is insanity that folks think because high temps recorded once a year at an airport runway are indicative of a boiling planet.

Everything about climate change only ever mentions getting HOTTER, but because that's not happening and not in the way the doom mongers predicted, any little change in weather anywhere is claimed as climate change when the evidence doesn't support their claim.
