This UTV logo presentation launched in June 1993 as part of a huge overhaul of their presentation. UTV won the ITV franchise in the 1991 auction, and from Jan 1st 1993 their new franchise period started, however they waited until June 4th 1993 before launching a new logo and renaming Ulster Television to UTV. They also opened a brand new television studio at Havelock House, Belfast - Studio 1, which would become home to many local shows including their popular Kelly talk show.
