UVI Falcon 3 - First look Part 1 - Review & Presets 

Great to hear! Yeah totally love 3.0 so far! Favourites in Omnisphere 2 has saved me a ton of time when I was working fulltime composing for games. I often even saved the channel strips in Logic Pro to be able to bring them up even faster...and with special treatment...hehe, and yeah, made templates of favourite sounds suitable for certain genres, moods and themes.

Agree it's a very mature vst instrument! Many inspiring sounds out of the box!

The combination of the new Bitwig update along side this has been beyond inspiring

Indeed, they all have massive sound engines and stock sounds! I still feel Omnisphere is easier and more straightforward to use. I'll talk more about that in the next episode. The new "sequencers" in Falcon are wonderful!

Yeah Falcon 3 is definitely high potential and deep plugin but I wouldn't say it's a "better" version of Omnisphere. Omnisphere 2 is very accessible to use and create sounds with IMO. Falcon 3 has some engines that's not really available in Omnisphere, but the accessible nature of Omnisphere makes me go back to it time and time again. They are both superb instruments though! ;)

Hey, they are all just tools. And I feel any DAW basically has a tremendous amount of tools, enough to make any good music. Falcon 3 in my opinion has some good and modern presets which might be usable, but editing and creating your own sounds is easier in Bitwig. Falcon may contain superior granular sound generators and some other arguably better tools. That said I feel its clunky compared to Bitwigs own system. Overall I still feel Omnisphere 2 is a better overall option when it comes to usable sounds, at least to my music. And its (to me) easier to use and edit. In short you don’t need these extra plugin instruments. But it can be a time saver if you want quick modern sounds that’s carefully crafted. They both sound huge out of the box. Again, creating /editing sounds in Bitwig is fast and you have an enormous amount of tools. That’s just my two cents. 😄🥁 Hope this gives some light into my thoughts on these big instrument packages.
