This was an instant buy for me. I don't think I've hit the buy button so fast once the email announcement arrived. I own a K4 and have sampled it into my hardware samplers over the years, but still can't get enough. Plus the K5 and R100 with additional ROMs!!! Thank you, UVI. These synths are unique and I'm glad someone has given them such a quality treatment.

Man, any UVI soundware with drums is always my most favorite thing in the universe. Even though I subscribe to SonicPass, I've been collecting up on them, and I know this is a must have purchase for sure

I had a K1r back in the day and recently got hold of one to play with again, I must admit it wasn't as nice as I remembered but I guess it's just a Rompler. Does have a few classic sound on it though. If I remember correctly the K1 and K5 had no built in effects either, I think the K4 might have done though.

UVI, do any of the Kawai emulated synths allow users to work with the raw waveforms to build sounds from scratch? I was a bit disappointed to find only a small amount of synths in Vintage Vault 3 that allow this.

I think in general, this isn't their approach.

Most of not all of the collections in Vintage Vault 4 have a selection of straight combinations of oscillators for use in this way.

Pretty short showcase. I think that as with most UVI vintage emulation plugins there will be only a handful of presets per category.

I believe it's reported to have 1000+ presets and it's around a 20gig install.

@@venericanone I think he is alluding to the fact that most of the sampled and modeled stuff doesn't use the real names of the synth companies, probably because of licensing reasons. I might be wrong.

@@venericanone - the sampled presets were always mutated versions of the originals or totally different in the past, and with random different patch names.

@@xp50player they use the real thing to sample it but every sample sounds different depending what equipment is used. There's so many kontakt Rhodes libraries for example or Juno 106 and they all sound distinct from each other.
