Hi Cameron! Thanks for the video-pretty interesting product, love this four midi channel capabilities)) question: what midi -controller do you use? Looks very rigid)
I've said this before - but if you're there UVI - how can such a comprehensive arpeggiator centric instrument lack a swing function?? It would also be lovely if the arp had song position or at least beat information rather than ONLY tempo. these 2 omitions alone make this a PITA to use. It does sound great though!
This comment is actually wrong ;-) You can either use the Load/Save Preset options on each Layer page (see the Quadra Modular User Manual at page 6), or use the overall Multi saving in UVI Workstation or Falcon.
@@LouisWeiser I like working with the UVI Workstation in standalone mode and editing different parameters while a sequencer or arpeggiator is running. A LATCH mode seemed appropriate to me .
This is a great overview but I don't understand why UVI always leads with these in the marketing emails I get announcing new products, instead of leading with the exciting trailers. BLOW ME AWAY with the sounds this thing can make coupled with a brief feature highlight THEN maybe I'll be ready for all the talking Lol.
Once we get past all the Cameron worship in these comments…maybe we can actually discuss how UVI missed the mark on this one. This sucks all the fun, chaos and discovery out of modular synthesis…not to mention… plugins can’t SCREAM. IYKYK. Bored to tears with this one 🤦🏻♂️
There should be a law against naming a vst or soundware modular or identifying a vst or soundware as modular when the vst or soundware isn't designed to and doesn't allow you to patch parameters or modules. There's nothing modular about this. Just a bunch of thin sounding samples.
@@Clarity-808playing back 4 sample layers does not make it modular. I think the op means this isn’t a modular system like eurorack or like a semi-mod synth. It does use samples from many different modular setups, so that might be the reason for the name.
There should be a law against people spending $80,000 on a hardware modular system and having their music sound like the music coming from an ice cream truck.
@@nelaurenThanks for the laugh 😂. Not wrong although I'd love to get a small setup. 4 grand anyone lol. Somewhere between fact and fiction and tbh theres barely axny difference in the siund quality when all is saud and done
seems like a very cool product. The sounds tend to have a certain polished vibe on them though, artificial, which for a lot of styles is great. It certainly sounds like a quality product. Is it possible however to get more raw sounding sounds? What surprised me about Softube's Modular plugin is that the modules all sounded very raw and very realistic in their analog feeling as if you were really listening to an electric instrument. Since the Quadra is based on samples of very authentic machines I would think this will sound realistic too and maybe the added reverbs and delays are what make it sound a little bit plastic in the demo's I heard. I'll have to install the trial to find out I guess ;)
