I started off this video thinking that I don’t need another bass VST, but I really like Cameron‘s videos, so I’ll check it out. Now, I find myself buying yet another awesome UVI plug-in. Between the quality of UVI’s products and Cameron‘s ability to demo & explain them and highlight the important features, my wallet doesn’t stand a chance. Take my money!

Just picked this up as part of a Spring sale, loving it so far, funky as f**k but sounds great over any 4 to the floor drums as well, love that you have a synth bass you can blend in and the newer slap performance style is great

Cameron, nice to hear your excellent presentation VOICE working for UVI. I have been a huge UVI fan for close to 10 years, and own probably 80% of their sample libraries. Keep up the great work. Please more in depth focus on the very deep SHADE.

Question: don't you find the UVI interface to be clunky? It takes five levels of menu diving just to get to an instrument. I feel like the whole system started out as a highschool programing project and they've just piled on to that. Sounds are great, operating the interface? Not so much. Also the whole download process is very sketchy/buggy. I subscribed to their monthly access about a week ago. Seriously doubt I will renew. Too expensive for what it is.

I think the Sequence feature is the big selling point for me VS other bass packages i have. Can you make your own to save and it that will then key change as you play them? And can you edit the included ones to make new versions?.

It any way we can use world suite 2 and percussion factory together to have a work flow i mean taking advantage of the instruments and the libraries in the world suite 2 with the sequencer in the percussion factory UVI

It’s really nice, just make sure your computer can handle the processing, for this one (especially loaded with falcon) takes a good amount of CPU power, especially on Pro Tools

Does Soul Bass send MIDI out? Dragging each phrase out 1 by 1 could become tedious.

Sounds cool, but can it play a straight rock 8th realistically? Funky stuff is relativly easy, but these sample libraries fall to bits once you start playing repeating 8ths, they always sound really fake.

I want to like it but it won't play two notes on different strings less than a fourth apart, like somehow the bassist is incapable having his ring finger two frets from his index?

I find UVI sound quality high, but very inconsistent UI. Every instrument has a new layout, unlike NI or Arturia. UVI prices are always little higher than I’m willing to pay, but this is currently 40% off - putting it in the reasonable range.
