Good to see one of these talks / lectures with good quality video. I'm always surprised and disappointed when reputable institutions produce inferior recordings, especially when they feature legends of the field. It's all history in the making. Thanks from a fan of science.
richard brewster: Excellent comment. One must respond vociferously when educational institutions engage in "dumbing down [potential] viewers" or "turning viewers off" - albeit unintentionally - on account of the fact that the presentation / video material is "shitty."
Only when two bodies couple up do they give out gravitational waves, not when they merge. After millions of years and many more mergers, maybe a galaxy will appear, like the center of the milky way.
