Yeah thats why you got the job because you've already worked for big companies. The problem with many UX designers right now is they don't have the privilege or opportunity to work in a big company. Your video doesn't help that much
I have been struggling to create a ux project, to showcase don't really know want to create and how many to create if you can create a video that explains more of it to us.
Hi Inès, nice to meet you! Thank you for sharing these tips & tricks! :) Where do you think is the best website to publish portfolio nowadays? (Free and paid platforms) - Thank you
Yes, I do! With a CV, I change the job title and emphasise leadership / individual contributor achievements depending on the job posting. Cover letter: I have a standard one overall. I only write personal cover letters when the position is exceptional for me. Overall, I didn't see much influence on the cover letter in my application. Luckily, most companies don't require it now :)
Hi Inès, Thank you for sharing these tips. I am curious about why would you write an article about your managerial experience instead of having it in your portfolio. I am job searching for junior positions, but I have team lead experience of 6 months (presently going on). So, I understand why you chose to separate it from your design experience, but why an article? What other options could I do to showcase my team lead experience?
Because as a manager, I have nothing to show in terms of deliverables. :) I am not working hands-on, and I am not a part of the development cycle, so the article format typically captures the managerial experience better.
Isn't it a separate field of animation design? I guess it is called a UX motion design or something like this... Should any UX/UI designer be a motion specialist as well?
There is a separate field, but motion design is more about 3D animations for promotions and movies. Animating UI is totally the work of an interface designer ;)
