@@darrenknight155you serious?..ik the art style is peak ..but the story telling is so dumb..i stopped reading it after 10 chps..still no hate....I hope at least the animated one scares me
What looks so promising about this is how the animation is actively adding to the original art, showing things like the swirling of the spiral hole inside the girl’s forehead etc.. I’m far more excited for this series than I thought I would be!
I honestly didn’t know how this could have been done justice. Like, for some reason I couldn’t comprehend how this could be even be animated. But that one scene of the unfortunate dude sucked into the vortex girl was all I needed to see that I have high hopes for this! All these years, a faithful adaption!
@@geriburrito Bought the Book 2 years ago. Before that, I listened to a video re-telling from a channel called Horrowshow Mickey. Loved it ever since for all those years. And I definitely can’t wait for it. Super excited!
@@eyevou Yeah, those newer generations praise CGI like it has something to do with real animation, and frankly looks like shit. I'm totally against this wave of cheap anime and characters moving like mannequins. Look what happened to Berserk and Trigun... People at today set the bar quite low.
@@viwalls Studio Orange has some of the best CGI in the industry (Trigun, Land of the Lustrous) and it's still not that great. At least with this production they are trying to make it stylized to mask the fact it's 3D. It helps up to a point but falls apart in other scenes.
From this trailer alone can convince me that this will be a real deal,. The horrifying feeling is similar when i read the comic, maybe even more because of the moving animation and the sound, can't wait to see the whole thing, we've been waiting for long enough already, i know it will be worth it
They were probably going to release it sooner. Then they saw what happened with the "Junji Ito Collection" and "Junji Ito: Maniac" and said, "Ayo, we gotta let this cook more." Haven't seen it, but it looks like they cooked. At the very least, they cooked something good. Not some of that beans on toast-level stuff.
thank you for bringing to life the one manga that traumatize me when i was 12. I really love Junji ito's work but specially this one occupies a special place in my heart.
From what I’ve seen, I still feel reading the manga and being able to focus on the art at your own pace is by far the best way to experience it. But I’m excited nonetheless.
I like it, it's like the manga was animated frame by frame instead of taking too much liberty. For this manga this kind of adaptation is the best suited.
Ive read the manga back then when i was high school. And i cant sleep after that for few days. And the anime is out soon… i wonder if i can sleep after watching it
Just watched episode 1 in Channel 4. The anime itself is really gorgeous but plots have been cut to very fragmented due to limited duration, understandable.
the reality of what actually happens in that lighthouse, yep this is gonna traumatize the newcomers, I still could get over it...and lighthouse is just a small part of whats happening, its damn crazy
