VØSNE Question.. Building up my rig and currently have an Elektron A4 MK2, Roland TR-08S, Yamaha MOXF8, and a Moog Grandmother. Using Cubase 10.5 and do mostly studio work. Needing to add a digital mixer to the setup and looking for something that will integrate well with this. Any suggestions? My style of music is quite similar to yours and Martin Sturtzer. Thanks!

Coffin Nachtmahr livid cntrl-r. Discontinued.. it's great for knobs, faders and you can also use it for sequencing ableton but i don't use it to launch clips, pads are sometimes a bit dodgy.

Thx for your msg and support ! Well, i'll be straight : if i have to keep only one gear, it would be the Tempest. :) You can bring it everywhere and built a track or at least a starter. Onboard Linn's samples are super fine and 6 voices polysynth is super deep in modulations. Of course filter and osc are not like a prophet 6 but more like a polyevolver or Tetra.. still great. Overall it has his own sound, very woody and organic. Kickdrums presence are really great. Sequencer is a bit old school but the workflow works for me. The only thing is that you can't scroll/shift your pattern once it's recorded like with elektron machines... Otherwise i never occure any problem as midi slave, even when i didn't have the acme-4. Very stable gear. And of course, for your kickdrums, you have to scuplt them from nothing, which takes time to figure... But it's deep. You can fine tuto at Adam Schneider's youtube channel ;) Overall, it worth it !

@Thanks, I appreciate your comment. I've been using drum samples for many years and now It's time to "sculpt" mine. Thanks to your Channel and Adam Schneider video tutorials now I'm love with this machine, complex and expensive but... life is too short. Thanks for the answer!!

thx for your feedback ! for this jam, everything is played live. no clips comes out of Ableton, just hardware inputs from the tempest and the mackie. Midi master clock is acme-4. but it depends of sessions :) Please check out the Garden session for exemple, it's different as it's a live setup, so many synth sequences are recorded and played in Ableton. For complete setup description, please check the Hypnotic Session for exemple, you'll find all the setup in the video's description and how i use it :)

VØSNE but what about the various sounds and patterns from your synths? Are there midi tracks from the OT? Just trying to understand what constitutes this as a live performance! Thank you and really big fan :)

Shawn Saul yes exactly : OT is sequencing all the midi. P12, perfoumer, moog & vc340. P6 is just a hold chord with lfo. Perfoumer has 4 independent osc + enveloppe so you can play them separatly to create different sequences. Vc340 receive an audio loop from the OT and also midi patern to play the vocoder chords + sometime added notes played on the fly by Remcord.

@ one more question😉 where do you program midi and make sort of composition? stright in OT or lets say ableton with its vstis? And than upload midi into OT to run all that analog gear. Or program - compose on the fly using OT and all the gear? sorry if my question not clear I guess you know what I mean😉 thank you in advance👍 some of your composotions sound very complex and look like lot of work done in advance.

Eber Ling thx for the word ! The mackie isn't the final output. Soundcard is. Mackie merge the synth then goes to the soundcard. From the soundcard 1-2 output is going to the speaker spliter (dynaudio or focal), 3-4 is going thru Thermionic Culture Vulture and Revox b-77, then it goes to the desktop soundcard for recording in wavelab. 🤪 Then i do final master in wavelab with my old tc powercore and its MD3 emulation.
