Pytor fine fine use the damn cannons but you can’t blow up Parliament man no you can not blow up anything No you can’t shoot anything with the cannons as well man no
I love how around the 3:30 mark you start to see the faces of the dead in the crowd. You see the scientist. Lady V injected, the gay guy who hid a Quran, the lesbian couple that left a note in the prison cell, the young girl who got shot, starting the riots.
Hugo Weaving as Elrond: "Destroy the source of evil power that opresses the people of this land." Hugo Weaving as V: "Destroy the source of evil power that opresses the people of this land."
Similar to another great quote: "A government that works for its citizens needs not to fear them being armed. Only a government that works against it's citizens fears them being armed."

You know, I wore an actual Anonymous Mask, and the reason he was breathing so hard and noisily inside the mask in the beginning is because it's so hard breathing inside it.
This is the the most important film in my life that reminds me of the meaning of being human, and free! As long as we are human, and we stand together, and together know the difference between good and evil. We will always stand against evil together!!! Good shall rise up, and evil shall fall!!!
In real life there is no good or evil, Hitler killed millions but brought the golden age to Germany, George Washington owned slaves but fought for the freedom of man
_"He was my father. And my mother. He was my brother. He was you, he was me. He is all of us"_ - but we are not him, and I fear for how low mankind must fall before we can fight against oppression and prejudice united, as one. Probably too far to salvage.
@@spacedaddy4364 To be completely honest,Rome probably had a long drawn out death,it wasn’t a spectacle but rather a long winded slow death. Probably wouldn’t have been pretty either, but nonetheless truly impressive to see a superpower of it’s scale be torn asunder by lowly barbarians and eventually become nothing but a blur until historians took interest to document what remained of it’s people, culture and architecture
Finch: "That music. . ." Evey: "Yes. His music." Me: The greatest music ever written. . . For blowing shit up. (Which this just happens to be my favorite music of all time).
This is one of the best movies ever. V may have been a little crazy, but his heart was ultimately in the right place. It took me a while to understand what Evy meant, but he was all of them. This is a movie that should be mandatory for everyone to watch, as it speaks volumes about the way our society is today and could improve.
@@SolBin-b4m I believe she meant that V was an idea that existed in all of them, and as V said when he was shot “Ideas are bulletproof.” So in a way, he (the idea he strongly represented) was in all of them and he triggered it within them to act on what they all knew to be right.
@@SolBin-b4m I suppose you can say it like that. In this case the government was corrupt and the only way to make things better was for the people to take action. V is more of a metaphor than a person, a representation of how people should not be afraid to stand up for what’s truly right.
@@dannybilbao a statue could be constructed to represent a thousand innocent killings, although it didn't kill anyone itself , it was made to celebrate something dark and violent.
No matter how many times I watch this scene, heck, this movie, I still get goosebumps. Forget the critics pointing out whatever technical flaw they see, I'll always consider this movie a master piece for V's charisma and the message it portrays (interpret it as you will).
Depends on where you live in this world! In the UK the reality absolutely not like the movie nor in the United States But some places yes 🙄just if I can tell you without got a heebie-jeebies
guliver43, it wasn’t he Russian imperial anthem just a beautifully composed piece of Napoleonic Russian Music. The Russian Anthem was God Save the Tsar. A song just as great 👍
Every 5th of November i will say “Remember Remember the 5th of November, The gunpowder Treason & Plot. I Know Of No Reason Why The GunPowder Treason Should Ever Be Forgot...” ✊✊🏻✊🏽✊🏾✊🏿
Something that disappointed me was that they never mentioned the irony of using November the 5th and Guy Fawkes as the symbol of fighting the authoritarian theocracy, since the man on that day tried to turn a democracy into the very authoritarian theocracy V was trying to destroy. An now look, everyone is using the Guy Fawkes mask without irony.
England's government was definitely not a democracy, more of a limited monarchy. The power not entitled to the king could hardly be considered the "peoples" as it was mostly nobles and burgesses that were part of Parliament.
TacticalCakeSlices It was far more free and a step forward than the absolute monarchy ordained by God which Fawkes believed in. Though in truth he just wanted to kill Scots.
O dear, I just realized it's November 4 and RU-vid suddenly recommended me this video. I think I should keep away from courthouses or parliaments tonight...
Remember, Remember the 5th of November. The gunpowder treason and plot. I know of no reason why the gunpowder treason should ever be forgot. - V Happy November 5th, 2021.
By far the best movie ever. The sheer power of the actor by voice alone. The fact it never showed his face was perfect... I now must go get my DVD and watch.
Never seen the movie but was curious which films have used such an amazing piece. I have to say, I thought the ending explosions synced up to the finale was really well done. I hope to see more movies utilize this incredibly powerful score, it moves me!
Since the mask was essentially V’s real face, He WAS all of them. 1:52 and 3:00 I love how V’s body blows up on the train in tune with the music. 2:15 Also I love how the dead people were behind the masks. 3:15 to 3:40
I absolutely loved this movie. And I absolutely loved the fact that they used one of my favourite pieces of classical music: 1812 Overture by Tchaikovsky. :D The last scene actually brought tears to my eyes (good tears!) ... such a powerfully beautiful movie. It's a movie everyone should watch at least once.
“Beneath this mask, there is an idea. And ideas are bulletproof” Whenever you are at your lowest, take hope. Know that you are not alone. This movie was made for now,for what is happening. To give us hope
Quarkonium look at where we are now 10 months after he is gone. He was right “they aren’t after me, they are after you, I’m just in the way” hate him or love him. He was right.
If you notice not only was he there but also Eveys parents, the girls that was shot and the two lesbians that each had been captured tortured and killed. Its like she said V was all of them. Its symbolism my friend. A great tool of art.
Never forget....v isnt on "your side" hes not on "the enemy side." Hes on his own side. Pure anarchy in the sense that you only have yourself in the world you want justice? Dont expect it unless you take it
