This game scratched an itch for me that I didn't know I had. To me, Twilight and Vampire Diaries ruined vampires. They used to be cool, now they might as well be elves. So good to be able to see something embrace the brutal, bloody side of vampires again while still providing an amazing core game loop.

Haven't seen this elsewhere so this seems like a good place to drop a tidbit some buddies and I figured out last night: build near water! In addition to the fishing stuff, eventually you'll be able to craft empty waterskins you can fill just by standing near water. So if you want to have an easy time keeping your horses hydrated, try to find some water to build close to! It also looks cool, but I'm just a huge fan of water features anyway...

I spent some time in the beta with you and this taught me a few things! I didn't realize there was a follow up to the E attack with the higher level swords.

I out my first castle just to the right of the cursed mines in the farm area. I figured that it was close enough to the starting zone, but actually in the farmland for later... also I was advised to pitch up at the farmlands anyway... in hindsight I may have went with a more ideal spot in the forest, as it would have been easier for the start of the game, but I'm sure once I start properly farming the farm area, I'll be glad to be based there.

Such an amazing game. when I first seen clips last year I thought it was a new Legacy of Kain game. I cannot put it down now I have it though. I grew up on Bella Lagosi and Lon Chaney and stuff, so have always been into Vamps. I even named my character "Mina" after a character from Bram Stokers (She is a female Vamp)

I built my base 5 steps out of the graveyard, its an awful spot for gameplay, but its such a cool looking spot that loos amazing lol

I wish there was more tutorial in game actually. I was lost trying to figure out how to build my first base...it said it needed power and I was like WTF is the power? Figured it out, but it doesn't explain how things work very well. I was playing on solo just to learn and died several times just building

8:30 using ice on the Bear, good idea man. He's the first boss to give me some issues. He is just so fast and aggressive, my character was not moving fast enough to be able to evade the AoE's properly. Granted this was before I realised the chaos dodge had 2 casts, but I think I need to go back with some high qual blood that gives me a speed boost to fight this guy properly. When using ice attacks does it slow him down a bit? The only ice one I have so far is the ice bats though, and I tend to prefer the chaos balls. At the minute I'm using chaos balls, chaos dodge and the blood one we start with that reflects damage and heals a bit (this is my fave def move so far, it has been a life saver at times with the heal it gives, but also if there are a lot of enemies, the knockback can take a whole bunch of them out bat once) I usually mostly use the sword for fighting though, as I really like the AoE move. Once I have the second moves unlocked though, I'll definitely start switching more in combat. Some weapons have better first moves, and some have better second moves, so switching in combat becomes way more useful after having the second weapon abilities unlocked I would imagine. PS: the jumping attack with the hammer is good if it lands, but I'm still getting used to the system with the mouse pointer, making sure it's in the right place before I attack. PPS: This game is bloody, amazing (pun none intended) and I am so happy that it exists. Been wanting a game that was like Legacy of Kain for a long time now. The original with it's top down style and how you have a castle and stuff, it just reminds me so much of it. It's like LoK for a new age.

Great Video. Quick question, I was in PVE mode and another player walked into my castle, destroyed my castle heart and now my whole castle is gone. Should this be able to happen or are we thinking it's a bug? TIA. 👍

im absolutely stuck as a solo player in a single-player game on the Bandit King. between the gate respawning and his earthquake ability is a pain in the butt. I'm gear score 37.

is there any type of trading or are there any vendors or economy in this game?

do resources respawn? is there an endgame? what cna u do after u have beaten every one of those 37+ bosses?

Really enjoying these indie, small studio games nowadays. The big AAA companies have all became lazy with their success and no longer have any passion or pride in their games.

I don't get the start... I'm level 70 already with loads of inventory items I don't know what to do with and a quest that tells me to go kills someone but doesnt tell me where he is... So I cant pick up anything for fear of what Im dropping to free up inventory is needed later on and I'm just aimlessly wandering around a map because I have no direction given to me by the game.... Not a great start
