The game’s progression system is really unique. Killing bosses for unlocking material etc. I haven’t played the game yet, just got a PC for the first time in years. Very excited to try it though.
Disappointed to report the game was a bit of a let down. Maybe it’s just not my cup of tea. There isn’t any real depth from what I could tell, it was all just “meh.” Some of it was downright frustrating. Others may like it.
Why don't you elaborate instead of just saying "meh". You're just trying to crap on someones first time experience with "meh". The game is awesome, and for the price £12 you cannot say "meh". .. you are obviously still watching V Rising on YT@@fvlse_
Just picked up this game yesterday, thanks for this guide bro. I've had a bunch of fun since yesterday, now it's time to watch this guide then delete the starter character I made now that I'll have the basics down.
This guy sounds like he’s from Transylvania, so he knows what he’s talking about. He also sounds.. eerily like the guy who lives in the giant castle there.. ah well good tips!
Wasn't even expecting a V rising vid from you but came across it when I made the purchase. Loved your cyberpunk content a couple years back and I continue to like existing content just as much minus the nostalgia factor ;)
I started with V Rising yesterday. I wanted to search for an guide on RU-vid and your video was on my start page even without searchin for the game :D Thanks for the guide. I will now delete my Char and start over again ^^
Awesome guide! I learned a lot. Just got this game on sale. I do have one little tip or suggestion, If I may? When you are showing something off can you not spin around so much please? It made me feel sick how many times you would spin around when showing the castle stuff off. I could see everything just fine, you didn't have to spin around so many times lol.
Fun game. I play solo in a custom server and just play here and there. Easy game to invest 30m, 60, 120m, or more and actually feel like you're progressing and using your time wisely each time.
Thankkkkk you the game in my wishlist for months . I just started yesterday and was looking for hide . Fun fact I killed that green witch. Got the gass ability before killing the wolf boss. I used the stone giant. He down him and I finished him .lol
V Risding has a problem, in that unless you join a new and empty server, PVE is a waste of time for a new player because it's guaranteed that all the best spots will be occupied by maxxed out players. And of course that problem is far worse on a PVP server. They're loaded with maxxed out top geared people who are now a bit nored and liven up their days by smashing newbies repeatedly into the ground and decimating their castles over and over. Not for any real gain, but because it's "fun"
If I play with my friends, can I continue the progress alone after leaving the co-op game, and then join my friends again with the latest progress again? Thanks.
Yes, for as long as that world on the server exist your character stays no matter if you play alone or with friends. Just keep in mind that it's one server = one character, there is no server transfer.
I find very painful to get resources in this game. It’s very grindy and when I see these huge castles and how it demands a ton of bricks, I feel already tired just imagining the amount of resources you need lol
I felt the same, so I now run my own PVE LAN map and I've upped the resource drop. This makes it so much less grindy. To balance it out I've also increased the mob strength so it's not a face roll......works well in my opinion. It's an option anyways, hope this helps.
It's easy to just adventure around the map and not really focus on grinding on a specific resource, so it really doesn't get *too* tiring. A lot of times, the game benefits that style of gameplay too, since you'll run into rarer resources and materials.
Is the game actually fun and not overly challenging as a single player doing PVE only? With it being on sale I am really tempted to give it a try. I love the atmosphere and concept.
I would say it’s a nice challenge. I just got it yesterday and played solo on my own server. Bosses so far have been a nice level of challenge. What I would say is don’t have a set build/skill set in mind when you fight. I tried fighting the bosses the same way each time and ran into a lot of trouble. Shifted my abilities and weapon, watched the bosses patterns and had a way better shot at the fight.
Ok, no pvp for me 😂. Do you have to build? Or can you just play and get everything that way? I don’t mind upgrading the gear, but the building i am afraid i do not have the patience for.
With the castle heart: does it also demolish the castle when playing solo pve only? If I'm on holidays for 2 weeks, it would be gone and then I have to built it again? What about the materials used? Are they gone then? I'm currently evaluating whether to get the game or not😅
If I remember correctly if you start a solo pve server as in you start it then it should be fine, you can also double check server settings or just put some blood essence into it and logout and see after 3-4 hours if castle used some essence or not.
If you just want o play solo should you just play private game? and if you do pick private re the settings auto put to what the base normal settings are?
Play private if you're going to play solo, private games have three options PvE Standard PvE medium PvE Hard All three of these affect item drops, damage recieved/given, blood drain etc. You can choose a difficulty and then further customize the settings to your liking e.g. you can turn off repair costs, reduce damage, increase drop chance etc.
New player came to learn about building castle but you didn't even mention how you find a place to place the castle or build the heart. My current quest is to create a heart but it's not on my menu and I have no clue what to do..I ran all over the map and am not sure what to do next?
Press your build hotkey. Default is "B" first tab (maybe only tab at your level) is fundamentals. In it you should see castle heart and a few others. Just started myself a few days ago. I play solo, but its pretty fun.
This game is so amazing. I just uploaded a video to my channel of me tricking and trapping a new player in a room with... something bad XD. I couldn't breathe!
how many servants can u have? it would be cool to have them guard the base in certain places and have some patrolling outside the base etcc.. will they also attack any players or NPC that comes close to the base?
I am really enjoying this game so far but one big thing I hope they change or put into the game is shared loot. By this I mean when enemies are killed or a boss for example multiple people can get the loot because as of right now one person can grab the loot really fast and then it creates friction that doesn’t need to be there. Also having an option where you can lock the cursor in place would be really fantastic for example I noticed I hold down the right mouse button whenever I’m running or even in combat because it feels more like games I’m used to that moving the mouse around moves the camera and having this as an option to toggle on/off may help people especially ones that aren’t used to this type of system
Something like albion online would be appropriate in there since it's basically the same kind of game, the loot is shared and locked for 2min where nobody except you can loot it
Thanks bro! I didn't know about moving things without having to deconstruct them! Also the compulsively count button makes me warm and gooey inside. Lol
