A few things, 1. This yarn looks thin... what is the purpose of such a large hook for? My stitches don't look any bigger or different than if I used a 5.5mm Hook 2. The ending of the V-stitch round is confusing.. when we get to the end are we supposed to do 1 DBC or are we supposed to end the round in the last stitch with a DBC chain 1 and another DBC in the same stitch... Because if we do that then it looks like where you start / end the round it's not a V but more like a W or something weird... and if you just do 1 DBC in the last stitch, well they don't exactly make a V still so not sure what is happening there. 3. What size TP does this fit? If we want to increase it for the mega rolls or make it smaller for the smaller rows, can you go over the number of stitching or how many rows needed for smaller / larger sizes? Thank you.

You should have finish showing a few rows around so it would be clear we are on track. Also explain and show how you finish off at the end of project. The first part was good, need improvement on the remainder of the project.

Hi Maggie: I am a beginner,I did not realize you would stop video after row 5 or 6 I thought you would finish to end. I learn by watching ,what I saw was good,please inform people upfront so their not disappointed.

Hi Maggie...I have a jar/glass cover kind of thing. It doesn't fit over tightly. Just lay over it, it's round in shape n just put over what ever one wants to cover

hay Maggie after the second row of V stitches do you put a double crochet into each stitch or one double crochet into the V stitch and one into the space?

I used worsted weight yarn and I hook. It wasn't big enough so I added another row on top.

I am fine through round five, but when I get to round six I notice that my rows keep increasing. I have started over and it seems that the problem is even worse. Is there any advice you can give me to help? Thanks!

It kept getting larger cause the tutorial is badly done. She forgot to mention when you do the v stitch row on the sides , you only add 3 doubles in the v but don't do the 1 double in between, (that's an increase).

@@panoreapan470 You also need to skip 2 stitches between the V-stitches or you will still be increasing. Each V-stitch has 3 stitches on top, so you must use 3 stitches on the previous row to maintain the stitch count.

I've been crocheting for over 50 years and was only able to complete this pattern by freezing the video and studying it. Looks lovely after it is finished though.

This is the second time I am trying this and if I follow the video it will get bigger so I just have to adjust as I go to make sure it does stay tubular in shape by decreasing stiches here and there. It is a shame that the video just leaves you to finish on your own!

I know why it is getting bigger from another comment. She forgot to add that done the sides doing the v stitch... do not have it be three double crochet then 1. Just do three all through out. Otherwise it is an increase. Read the comment above yours! Agreed very frustrating!

I agree, but do we skip 1 stitch or 2 stitches on the sides, when doing the v stitch, she didn't mention that, just says its done the same as in the top, but its not the same as mention

On the sides, I skipped 2 stitches between each V-stitch. Then on the next row I did 3 dc in each V-stitch and nothing between the V-stitches. This keeps the stitch count the same on each row.

I used a 5 size crochet hook and it turned out much to big for a tp topper. I know I can use a smaller hook but your project doesn't look like you crochet tight. you used the I hook.

Very strange and confusing video. Just do the V-Stitch in the V-Stitch rows so that it doesn't keep getting bigger and bigger. I'm disappointed in this video. Just sayin!
