In V the miniseries, a race of aliens arrives on Earth in a fleet of 50 huge, saucer-shaped motherships, which hover over major cities across the world. They reveal themselves on the roof of the United Nations building in New York City, appearing human, but requiring special glasses to protect their eyes and having a distinctive resonance to their voices. Referred to as the Visitors, they reach out in friendship, ostensibly seeking the help of humans to obtain chemicals and minerals needed to aid their ailing world, which is revealed to be a planet orbiting the star Sirius. In return, the Visitors promise to share their advanced technology with humanity.

If they hurry the hell up and make a final movie to the 1985 series of V with all of the living cast members I'll be happy. This series needs a fantastic closer and not leave it open ended like they did in the 1980s.

That was not Jennifer Cooke. That was Rhonda Aldrich from the 15th episode The Wildcats where she played Ellen Baker.

Do you know Tricia, I had to do a lot of checking and double checking when I read you comment and you are absolutely correct. Jennifer Rae Beck to me, looks like an older version of Jenny Beck and to add to my confusion both ladies are or were actresses of stage and screen. Apparently Wilma, so the internet tells me, V was not getting high enough ratings to justify the cost of making it. At the time, it was one of the biggest visual effects shows on television. That's the business people in TV for you. It was a great show. Thanks for your comment. TC

It was great, initially, but it was getting pretty lame in the later episodes. I was a little kid when it originally aired but I have the DVDs and I can attest the later episodes were terrible! It was a desperate attempt to create a storyline in order to keep the show running, so much so that it became tacky and I can see why they dumped it. It seems a lot of TV shows don't know how to quit while they're ahead.

@@Stormyweld05 It peaked, then plummeted. It ran its course longer than it should've. It was highly innovative early on. I remember watching it as an 8th grader in junior high. I had a full length poster of Jane Badler that my dad liked, too😍😜😈

@@TopCatGB What's impressive is that you managed to make errors on BOTH the actresses who played Elizabeth. :) I paused on Jenny Beck thinking "Hang on! When I was a teenager watching this series Young Elizabeth was definitely not the same age as me, but I was 44 in 2015". IMDB check shows she's only 3 years younger than me - which was still a shock, to be honest. Other than that, nicely done.

In "V: The Final Battle", Maggie has sex with Visitor Youth member Daniel Bernstein. That scene struck me as being grossly inappropriate for a science fiction thriller.

In this episode the actor, Frank Ashmore, was called Philip. But he was called Martin in the episode aired on Jun 3, 1985 called Liberation Day. So, well done Skumberg 74 for spotting that. Thanks for the comment. TopCat

You are right. The actress who died is named Jennifer Rae Beck. After looking it up I can see how people can get them confused.The two of them were even in shows with similar names. Jennifer Beck from V was on a show called Paradise. Jennifer Rae Beck was on a show called Guns of Paradise.
