This Jordan 195 had not run in public since 1995 before the 79th Goodwood Members' Meeting presented by Audrain Motorsport. The owner, having been trying for over two years, managed to fire its NA V10 Peugeot 3.0-litre engine and get it running in time for our V10-era F1 demo. And it sounded incredible. Here is some pure noise from this Jordan 195 F1 car with no commentary.

This is what Formula 1 cars are supposed to look and sound like. Since the beginning of the turbo V6 hybrid era the engines sound like vacuum cleaners and the cars have been progressively getting bigger and fatter and less nimble

Absolutely love the nostalgia this F1 Jordan brings! 😍 The roaring sound of that V10 engine, the iconic livery, and the sheer thrill of 90s racing! Takes me back to the golden era of Formula 1. Can we please bring back those screaming engines and vibrant liveries?🏎💨

Pretty decent sounding engine, very close cousin to the one which won the Le Mans in 1992 with Peugeot. I love the fidelity of the cars racing in Goodwood, tyres aside, they're almost as they raced when they were in their time.

This car actually didn't make the start and joined halfway through. It was being temperamental on the grid and was pushed to the pits. When it finally roared into life there was a big round of applause as we all knew it was the best sounding car there. I can definitely say it didn't disappoint! Watching it fly by on the straight in a shower of sparks was pure theatre 🤩

The engine was designed by mechanical engineer Jean Pierre Boudy. The power was in 1995 700hp

An evolution of it. It wasn't as reliable. All the Peugeot V10s had an odd firing order so sounded "lumpy" compared to others.

If only I'd have known they would sound significantly worse/weaker in the future, I would've gone to an F1 race before... who could've known though?...
