V10 Lamborghini Engine Build for my Volvo 

Peter makes everything seem so easy, in next video he will probably be like "so the Lamborghinis ecu don't work will the Volvos instrument cluster, so I made a new ecu and wiring harness to plug in to the Volvos analog cluster, it's not that hard really"

I am fascinated by this project and your no-nonsense attitude towards reusing old parts, I really like that. This is a project I would love to try myself, but I think I'm on an even tighter budget. Maybe retrofitting a Volvo 240 engine into a Gallardo would be in my capabilities 😉

I wondered about that facility for a balancer shaft. Back in the 1980's I worked on development of a 5 cylinder truck diesel and they had rocking couples (1st and 2nd order) which wasn't balanced. Maybe it's less in a V10? This is usually taken up in tuned or big soft engine mounts but your are short of space for that. Maybe a balancer shaft would help if there's one already available?

damn this is awesome, that oil filter is expensive, lets not have it, same with half of chains and utility gears :D thats nice half of them are out, I wonder though if that can mess up with the whole system in any way...maybe oil distribution and timing having not as much weight to pull on the chains

I couldnt ever imagine the thought process of the original cad design of the lambo engine during development. To envision the entire motor, tolerances, materials, mechanics, all of it just seems too far fetched for somebody to develop.. even with a team of people, just the sheer magnitude of the entire idea. Like how in the hell did the first people physically create the first silicone chip? How did they first make a chip out of sand that has thousands of switches the size of a hair follicle.. now theyve figured out how to make an entire transistor the size of 2 nanometers.. the full capability of silicone period. Shit so small not even a virus or single bacteria can fit inbetween the fins of the switches inside each transistor., just blows my mind. Hell it takes me a hot minute to even screw in a screw on an iphone.. 2 nanometers.. crazy..

Aluminum doesn't slide against anything. Lol Does the coating on piston skirt adhere to Alum. ?? I'm thinking rotating mass of 10 alum. pistons (steel sleeve ) compared to hybrid piston rotating mass with steel & alum. The block is still made by Audi even if its not in any Audis performance cars to confirm.

Here’s a blown up scrap unrepairable engine, so I fixed that…

Disappointed that you are using old seals on this engine, I wouldn't want to rebuild an engine and then something fails.

The valve in the valley is called a priority valve. It sends oil flow to the main galleries first until pressure is reached which then allows oil flow to the rest of the engine.
