I wish I could do an off the grid overlanding lifestyle for like 15 months straight without worrying about a thing in life. Just traveling, enjoying nature, reading, hiking and most importantly away from civilization.

Just watched you open a gate and although, I know you closed that gate behind you, it was not shown .Others ( hopefully very few ) watching this video may not understand this rule of proper ediquet , not close the gate and then the rancher has to look all over creation for his cattle. Try PG Tips tea with milk and sugar-doesn’t hit as hard as coffee, tastes wonderful, and still gets you going. Don’t get me wrong, I love my coffee. However, having lived in England for several years, I now love my tea too. Glad to see you on the trails again!

Glad to see you out and about. I think it's a little early but you must know best for yourself. I was a rock crawler for almost 20 years. And some of the places you have gone through remind me of what we used to do. And if you notice I said we. I would never consider going out without at least three other Jeeps. That way if something happens two Jeeps Stay Together and two Jeeps go for help.

Last time I did that same track to the Verde there was a Suburban with 3 flat tires, 2 of the rims were totally off the vehicle, lots of other damage. Met the Suburban's driver down at the hot springs. He had followed the google map routing to the springs, down what you went up. Costly! That is an epic drive. Nicely done! Very happy to see you back out. Enjoy my backyard. The Coconino is wonderful! You will love it!

Personally I would worry about a break down or getting stuck out there, I know you have lots of experience doing this sort of thing but having another vehicle would be better. I've done a bit of offroading and when things go bad you're in big trouble. Thanks for sharing your adventure with us.

You can't imagine how happy I am to see Chris stocking back up in order to begin his wanderings again. I'm looking forward to this.

I think your the gnarliest of the 'domestic' overland vloggers. TFL hits some rough trails but, they don't bushwack cross country. Dirt every day gets out overnight but, its not weekly. The roughest 2 lanes & backcountry vistas are featured here weekly given nominal conditions. Don't really like the rooftop tent setups but, that whole package & vehicle just works. One thing I wonder about is how is it possible to go off pavement 30 miles driving & still walk 10 miles every day? If some rockhounding & nugget finds with a bit of fishing could be added to the mix that would be arm chair paradise. 🙏

In a similar manner as your tire's "response to a rock"; it's the probably the best way to deal with life current travails; respond/don't react.

I've actually been up in thar country. Its beautiful great views. Just keep in mind there is wildlife up there. Mainly smaller black bears and a random mountain lion. You probably wont see either. Just keep a eye out while hiking around. Enjoy theres lots to see and explore in that country.

Good to see you back out on the road again and a great adventure to kick off the return. Excellant driving up that mesa. Since the purpose of you videos are not to showcase your Jeep or your driving skills, they both sometimes get lost in the background of the adventure. As you say, the Jeep is in top form and your drivings skills seem to have survivied the shutdown.

Great that you’re back exploring, always enjoy the shopping footage and excusing the Cheezits( everyone’s allowed a guilty pleasure) really liked your editing in the sped up drive footage it lets us see the terrain of the tracks. Impressive final climb to the epic overview campsite, keep safe and carry on. Oh and I think the tan is more of a truckers one, not quite matching either side 😂
