Both our literal backyard, and figurative backyard! This episode commences with an around-the-house life update, and a short video clip from Cyclovia Tucson 2023. Then, I head out into the backcountry of southern Arizona to do some exploring in the Jeep. I spend the night at a lovely hilltop campsite, enjoy a strenuous hike to a secret pool, and explore forest roads, in a serene, mountainous landscape.

Just finished watching last weeks video. My wife and I never miss an episode. I haven’t watched this one yet, but I wanted to say that we look forward to your new adventures as a homeowner. Overlanding and nomad life is great, but there’s nothing like putting down roots somewhere too.

Chris, I know you don't replay (at least not here) but just know, people follow your channel because of you and not just because of the travel, I have enjoyed watching your adventures for the last four or five years, yes things have evolved, but that is to be expected. Just continue being the somewhat likable, nerdy guy that loves adventure and people will continue to follow along. Best of luck with the house and Shannon...enjoy the evolution and new life that you have, and please continue to bring us along for the journey.

Not too far from you is Rucker Canyon. You catch the road just outside of El Frida AZ. The road dead ends into Bear Canyon Campground. Some nice hiking in the area. Bear Canyon Campground always seems about 20' cooler. Also, there are some notorious people buried in AZ. Grave sites are fun to visit. One such place is the grave of Johnny Ringo, Dragoon, Arizona. See you down the trail.

By the way, there's only one way to tell if you're front axle is centered and that is to take measurements from a stationary point on each side and see if they match. If you don't have an adjustable front track bar, it won't make any difference, but if it's out of line by more than half an inch or so, you might want to upgrade your track bar to an adjustable one.

While your story will continue to be about the adventure of learning, growing, and changing, your new home base should let you do that in different ways. How about sharing your experience of taking some cooking classes and maybe changing your food and health game? I have some friendly laughs about your food choices on the road, and it’s a part of your image and personality at this point. But, it’s difficult to see you settled into a house with a kitchen for 4 months, then hitting up Jimmy John’s on the way out of town. And, while chips and bottled queso are certainly easy, leaving an actual house and traveling in the Revel (a tiny home) could let you prepare great frozen/refrigerated food for the road, which would require about the same amount of time to warm and eat. Just a thought - please continue to share your genuine self, wherever that takes the two of you!
