Chris, I admire you for your honesty and transparency with your emotions. I can tell you and Jen have a real connection. When you parted ways, I could tell your eyes were glassy. I admire you for not editing that out. You are unlink most you tubers. You are the real deal.
Hi Chris! This episode with your camping on the "Playa" in the Black Rock Desert inspired me to go camp there....I spent a week on the Playa and made a life-long memory! Incredible place! I made a video of the trip.....we had a HUGE Great Black Hornet visit our camp....if you're curious and have some cell reception... see the Hornet, my overland set-up and my take on the "Playa" in the video. Thanks a ton for sharing and all the work you put into your channel! Happy travels!
Tumbs up buddy, you are so genuine ! keep up on the good work ! i wish people where like you ! Greetings from Mororocco and you are welcome as long as i am alive. In case i am not my kids will take you in charge. You are awesome man.
Nice to see that a shop actually rebuilt with the Rzeppa Joint. I rebuilt mine ~2 years ago and haven't had a problem yet, but at the time was concerned I was cheaping out instead of just getting a custom shaft made. Good luck to yours, mines holding steady so far! Keep up the good work bud!
Hello Chris... Love the way you live for the last 15 months i will follow your channel.. goed luck on your next trip.... greatings from Holland Europe.
New viewer here and busy binge-watching your travels and kinda rolling along with you. It's been very good for my Spirit (: Excellent work Chris and Thanx! MT, Portland Oregon
Excellent video, Chris. That part at the beginning about the universe telling us we are where we need to be was spot on and oddly fitting for me at this moment. But, that's no surprise, right? Keep up the good work.
Hey Chris, think this is one of your best videos!! Not only with the coffee start, but because it was all unplanned and wow you found some great spots!! Hope to meet you in Flagstaff in a few weeks. Safe travels, thanks for sharing
I recently discovered your channel and have been working on catching up. I shared in the dynamic between you and Jen from the other side of the screen so to speak. Praying for blessings for the both of you.
Great video - loved the exploring and your talk about being happy. Many blessings as you continue your adventure. Not to mention, coffee is life so you had me at that - ha!
pretty good cell service you say.... Well I'd guess so! I love your adventures... Just a guess... your shoes are worn out from you running up and down the mountains setting up the camera for those awesome shots! Thanks for the great videos...
Inglorious good coffee intro, you're a pro on video now and I followed you from start. On that, stunning scenery and excellent photo. You are outstanding on youtube if it comes to me. I can feel some sadness in this episode but that is life. I have some thougths to by a Jeep and join you, but for now you have to live my dream, as many, many others. You are the strongest of us.., and I love you for that...
been watching for a bit and tho i got a kick out of that dynamic i must say your work just went thru the roof afterwards. beautiful! i do hope you gain some confidence and do a bit of wrenching on your own, to me part of the Jeep love affair is the wrenching. you could of accomplished that repair and saved a few bucks. i look forward to more and thanks for sharing so candidly.
Somebody has been following Wonderhussy Adventures..:) The burger joint near Mono Lake, the hot springs and burning Man...yep someone likes the Wonderhussy!
When cooking or reheating pizza 🍕 on that hot plate. I flip them to the cheese side at some point. Especially if there are pepperoni’s. But when reheating cold pizza i always start on the face. Hot tip. Blessings
I also had my cv joint replaced with a teraflex unit with great results. but I noticed they used what looked like a plastic zip tie, it should have been a steel version as the plastic won’t last long and will hit on full flex. The shop should have known better IMO. Thanks for sharing. Steve
Great videos Chris. Very entertaining. Give me a shout if you come up to the PNW. Would love to share with you some of our best spots. Ps. Try some WD40 on your rear springs where they meet the lower spring perch. Might get rid of some of that squeaking on the trail. At least, this is what solves my squeaking that sounds very similar.
From winnemucca you should head over to Leslie gulch and succor creek outside Jordan valley Oregon. I think charbeneau's grave(Sacajawea's husband) is somewhere around there. Then you should head over to to owyhee upland byway, also outside of Jordan valley. You're not too far from there and it's both beautiful and remote.
In the opening clips did I see that right? Are you making your coffee on top of your Cleanwaste Portable Goanywhere toilet? That’s awesome! Ah the spirit of overlanding and multi purposing everything! Awesome job my friend. Really enjoyed that video.
venture4wd For sure my friend. One lives in my Rubicon as well. It makes a great end table, night stand, coffee table, etc. Really enjoy your videos. Very cool to see we’ve been to a lot of the same places. We’ve probably passed each other on the road. If you get a chance take a look at my channel and leave me some comments on what I can do better. I pick up a lot from watching your videos. Really enjoy your style of filming. Cheers!
Chris, man, you need to pick up an Aeropress for coffee. You'll never look back. Cheap, lightweight, and zero cleanup unlike that French Press where you have to waste water on cleaning the screen. Plus the cup it makes is so good. Trust me on this.
Great video Chris! One question - are you running w/ your swaybar disconnected on those gravel/dirt roads after camping on the playa? Just wondering - saw the blinking light...
I could watch that coffee intro 100 times! What brand boots and “slippers” does Jen wear? I need hiking boots and she sold me! (You two are adorable. I wish you both all the best. But...Sometimes you have to fight the Universe -Just saying.)
You should look into getting a Titan auxiliary fuel tank. It attaches to the back door, between the door and the spare tire and adds about 10.5 gallons of increased range.
The best way to tell if your CV has failed is to put your jeep in 4WD and slowly do a sharp turn either left or right if it has failed then it will make a clicking/clunking sound.
There is a song called I've Been Everywhere Man and they pronounce a lot of the Cities in the US perfectly and yes one of Micah is the way you pronounce it
The US is a car friendly country ,I live in Belgium (Europe) and Belgium is the parking space for Brussel ,Europe is the origins of the automobile engine and car happening. And now that same Europe is banning the car and the diesel and petrol engine for the normal people ,like me (the natures comes first )there is non anymore like in the US !! Very Sade ,you are lucky !really !!
The footage you create is excellent. The quality suffered by trying to accommodate your travel partner's cause. You are much better off finding a travel partner that will support your cause. BTW Reno is always windy......#doubletracks
Check out Outdoor Nevada on YT for all of our great places in NV on Vegas PBS. Lots of stuff up here in the north. BTW what table is that you carry? Thanks
That's a shame about your boots not lasting a year...they tried to sell me on them as the greatest pair I'll ever buy....glad I didn't go through with it. May want to check with REI they may have some sorta return policy.
I get 1-2 years out of my Merrill Moab Ventilators, but I only pay $50 US and beat the crap out of them. Light, comfy, supportive, do everything, and dry quickly. Love 'em, won't buy or wear anything else. Nena Barlow approved! :-)
Oh brother I love your vids but for like $470 you could have gotten a whole new drive shaft...i.e. Tom Woods... or others... no rubber...u joints my man...
I got a question about Tahoe national forest. Last time I checked, dispersed camping is not allowed on some land in the forest. Did you get a permit or something. Could you please share the process of getting one or is there some way around it?
