For those who don't understand the lyrics.... This song is about a girl in this era being all Americanized and so bougie(boujee) that she wears red lip stick with a new hair-style and when this guy tries to hit on her she rolls her eyes (because she probably thinks he's not on her level). Long story short "don't forget where you come from and be kind and treat everyone with respect because that's the island way".
